A nice rendition, but please adjust the title. As mentioned before, Chris didn't write this one. Charles H. Gab­ri­el wrote this about 1905. There is something profound that is lost when we miss the fact that we are joined with saints from all generations in praising God.

I dont know what instruments you have but

start with the guitar on its own, repeat the 1st verse twice.

backing vocals kick in 3rds at the chorus and stay in harmony for the rest of the song.

Build up graduly throughout song.

Give eye contact when you want to build up/die down etc.

At "suffered and died alone" build up with drums and just go for it.

On last chorus repeat twice and go a cappella on last time, slow down and fade

Its an amazing song.

even someone who has rhythm, get them on percussion and bongos etc. Then it will be acusticy. We had a cafe church service the other week and we played it with just guitar-works great. If you've got any other queris, dont hessitate to ask!
