@Calriec There's a lot of contention regarding that-- It may be a reference to the way Bela Lugosi hypnotizes a woman in BRIDE OF THE MONSTER (episode 23 of season 4), and , but Dr. Forrestor does it to Frank at the end of SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS, episode 21 of the 3rd season. ("SLEEEP in heavenly PEEEACE!")

I really feel like there was new energy in these episodes. They were so drained after the movie and with Trace leaving and Frank having left, season 7 was painful for the writers, but I just feel like in these season 8 episodes when Bill is there for the first time, they are on FIRE. And really making each other laugh too. No matter how mediocre the film in season 8, they just plow through and kick giant monster ass. It's an unpopular opinion, but this may be the very best season.

This is the most claustrophobic film I've ever seen. Every set looks to be the size of a phone booth. Even the frantic cutaways can't create the impression of space.
