@ KingBennon..i did exactly what u did on this & when i go to play the DVD in a player i get "error" Do u know why this could be..? i used to use DVD Flick & never had this problem besides taking 7 hours to burn. So i obviously am happy with Nero7 but am kinda frustrated & tired of wasting DVD's trying to burn...can u help..?

why can't I seem to get this right. I have tried and tried to get this right. I have done exactly what you have on here and it will not play on my DVD player. It played for 20 mins on my Xbox. I have memorex dvd-r's.

hey im using nero 7 and the options are very diffrent and i dont have nero vision only nero express and it keeps burning my avi files to data dvds which wont be readble in dvd players. the only other option is copy a dvd(drive to drive) which isnt suitable. any help on the situation or where you can get nero vision 4? ive already wasted like 4 disks lol. i was under the impression avi files wont be read by dvd players unless there xvid/divx players or can read data disks. shed any light? cheers

use norton 2010 it has an exclude option and silent mode for your programs .

so you exclude them ,and the anti virus wont look into the program folder any more or scan it..

then when you run it ,silent mode will be activated and norton wont interupt

also if you want a free program .

you can download AVG from file hippo it is windows 7 compatible and also has a exclude option.

just exclude your program .exe file and your done.

it wont delete or see them as a treat any longer

no you need a dvd recorder ,it probably doesnt see a dvd recorder.

or install a virtual dvd player.

btw ,it is always better to first burn to the hard drive or image recorder .

the image recorder makes an iso file out of it ,you can burn that iso on dvd with nero burning rom or power iso or alcohol 120 %

the iso will also keep it save for later use /

ok i followed anything and it worked, sort of.

and i totally pissed off right now coz it took me forever to do

get back ASAP!

ok here goes.

i converted the dvd in my drive to an avi file and saved it on the computer.

then after the 4 hour conversion, i burned the dvd. copied it correct, not using the pc while it was burning, and then i take it out check if its all gravy, and it plays but its all pixelated and makes like buzzin static noise???

this also happens on pc playback

(uploader) If you're burning the .AVI file as DVD - then you can't add subs with NeroVision ..

You have to hard encode the subs to the movie so there always there.

However there are other Burning programs that do support this.

Vidmex is a good one. You can select the subs from a menu.

ok buring takes quick but encording a 700mb file takes longg time it takes me 2hrs 35min about to burn a 2.4gb dvd file..the video is 3hrs about and yes people u can fit a 4hr file on a dvd-r or dvd+r w.e i use a external lg burner 20x wth 16x dvd-r disc...i use dvd flick its free and simple and u have options to encode ur video into almost cystral clear picture and im not bullshitting about this .. it took me a while to get this working and this is the best way for me
