I saw the last 2 NASCAR Nationwide Races (2003, 2004), the final Modified race (2004), and the last event ever held there the Firestone Indy 225 in 2004. It was so sad to see the track go away, I'm 20 now and I worked grandstand security and got Dan Wheldon's autograph.

The winner of this final enduro was Mike Hirschman, brother of asphalt modified champion Tony. Mike was an excellent enduro racer back in the heyday of the enduro races, winning numerous ones at Lindas, Nazareth, & Mahoning Valley.

I miss that track so much. It was my childhood. Thank God that Snyder Video preserved a lot of films from the Golden Years.

I remember my dad bringing me to this race. The track was in real bad shape but it was still sad to see it go. I think Timmy Pauch was in this one too. Great to see this again!
