@mrsSayWhat You can but you should lose weight because standing on your toes really really hurts. I'm only 105 pounds and it feels like I weigh a ton when I do it but you can you just have to be strong girl! :D

You can start now if it's what you really want to do, but for a while you'll have to get used to dancing with little kids so you can learn the technique and then move on to bigger things. If you dance at a good school, not one of the schools that don't take it seriously, then you will be able to dance like a pro sooner than you think. Someone here started in college, so if they can start that late and be that good, then of course you can too!

@Uberdancer412 Dancers toes bleed all the time, look at Anaheimballet's "The Pointe" you are basically saying most of the girls at Anaheim ballet shouldn't be en pointe. Just because your toes don't bleed doesn't mean others don't. my toes have never bled but others do,

@KathieBallerina ballerinas don't really go on diets........ most of them are just built like that, with long arms and legs, small shoulders, skinny. but there are definitely some amazing dancers out there who don't conform to the standards for body type, it doesn't stop me.

@kittyforever234 When ballet is taught from a good teacher, yes it's EXTREMELY hard. Harder than football definately! Haha:)

In any regular sport, you have to use your muscles and work hard. Ballet is just the same, but you have to look good doing it too! That's why it's so difficult.

@WatchTheBackground Well....I think at first it did (I don't really remember, I've been on pointe for 4 years, hehe). But over time your feet get stronger and you get used to it. Of course your feet already have to have strength before you go up on pointe. So, really it doesn't hurt too bad, unless you tend to get bruised toenails and blisters like me (which hurt like CRAP!) :)

Where Annaheim? Oh yeah and you dance absolutely beautiful. Your piorettes are perfect, your extentions are beyond gorgeous, and your arch is amazing. I would do anything to dance as nice as you. I would be a lot better, but my extentions are bad. Does anyone have any advice to get my legs as flexible as hers?

@duhyeahitscool11 Can you do your splits? Try doing over splits but make sure your hips are squared doing kicks and leaps will also help and try standing straight and bring you leg as far up as you can. :) hope this helps but make sure to hold the stretches for like a minute or two everyday if not then longer. :)
