Had never heard any other version of this great Roger M. song. Excellent rendition testifying to the song's strength. Of course, the original version is part of the times when i was growing up and along with a lotta other happenings, it kinda weaves itself into my taste. I like this! thanks

I can't let go of the Roger Miller version, I suppose because he wrote it. Also, Roger sings it more like he's telling the story. But, this is a very nice - and smooth - cover, performed by excellent musicians.
