I've had 2 favorite games until I played this. The first is Deus Ex and the 2nd is(don't laugh lol) The Adventures of Link Zelda 2. But this fucken game has made me reconsider what the best game is ever...unbelievable...all are fun games.
I never like Artemis Suites, mostly because of those terribly creepy sounds. What ARE they anyway? They sound so unnatural. Especially those weird dolphin-like screeches. T.T *shudder*
LOL Actually no, That people are traps, you think that they are dead while they have life. If you use telekinesis, yo can stole his masks. Then you kill them. but nice
Does any else get this joke? Atlas is an evil titan cursed to take turns holding up the sky for all eternity. Think about it fo a moment. They did a great job of leaving hints about the ending.
What I think is funny is that on one of his banners it says no kings gods or godesses only man well if so why is it so greek, apallo,Hephestis, and artemas
i doubt that because in his other videos he becomes invisible and it doesn't make that noise, i think its either gameplay music to scare you or the intercom system is not working in rapture
I don't know why I get such a crack out of the splicers that play dead. When you attack them, it seems like they are thinking, "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea."
Don't forget that while they claim religion has no place in Rapture, but in essense they ARE worshipping something: Man.
Like the story of the Tower of Babel being built to the sky so that man can be equal to God. Ryan built his own tower in similar hubris. Ryan is figuratively replacing God and worshipping man, and himself instead. Ryan persecutes according to his philosophies.
Ryan and Rapture are a parrallel to the worst aspects religion can inspire.
Even if the Bible IS pure fiction, there are still lessons that can be applicable. Case in point: Pride coming before downfall.
Both Lucifer and Ryan were exiled due to excessive pride. In Ryan's case he exiled himself because he felt it was preferable to "Rule in Hell" than to serve the "Heaven" of Capitalism and religion.
Hubris led to the downfall of Ryan. Rapture almost literally became Hell. So some parallels to Biblical folklore can be found if looked at in a certain way.
I like how they named the areas and other things by greek myth and other religions - its refreshingly different. For example - Apollo Square, Artemis Suites, ADAM, and EVE.
Gardens of ARCADIA(region in Greece) Dr steinman rambles about Aphrodite, the greek goddess of beauty, Hestia, the goddess of hearth (explains why its a poor area) Heapheastus, god of the forge, Neptunes bounty, and promethius point( I THINK prometheus was the roman name for zues, not 100% sure
No, Prometheus had the powers of creation and created man, and was a titan, not a god. Other than that youre pretty much correct(not trying to make a point, IM just a little bored).
That's a Matter of Taste. They both are the same so it's mosty how you prefer to play. I fin the Xbox to be more clunky, and play really stiff. But I play it on the Xbox version for the achievement points, I'm a glutton for AP.

Mactiddy your walkthrough has been really helpfull, if Andrew Ryan was real he would probably build Rapture and name it after you.

oh, cooldude, you're right. but wait; didn't Ryan say he was an atheist?
