I have very little welding experience on alu, but I have to say that welding in a t-shirt is stupid. You can easily burn your arm - especially on alu which is really hot when you weld it, compared to steel which is mostly hot only where you weld. And dont you get sunburned while welding alu?
Breathing in welding-gas isnt good either, he should have air extraction. Especially people who work as welders should use it. Even I, who weld like 5 hours use much more protection.
