Nice reading. But the problem is, you only assert prophecies are wrong. You don't prove it. You also ignore basic points of how to interpret Scripture correctly. The facts show that you do not understand how to interpret the Bible based on sound hermeneutics. The second coming prophesies have not failed just because you claim it. The terms "quickly" must be interpreted in light of 2 Peter 3:8, which CLEARLY demonstrates that God's view of time is quite different from ours. Epic fail!

Regarding 2 Pe 3:8: I actually address this in my video, “Why Christianity is not the Truth” (vid 3/3). I argue that a prophecy with an ambiguous unit of time is an oxymoron. The point of prophecy is to demonstrate omnipotence or omniscience. Claiming that God somehow forgot that he was talking to humans when he gave the prophecy is a disingenuous copout (although you might be inclined to view it as a great example of “sound hermaneutics”).

The view of the end in the Quran as follows: Some day humanity will be wiped out, then eventually the sun will explode and take the earth with it, then eventually the Universe will collapse, then there will be a second creation with a whole new Universe which will include us humans being recreated as well and then be judged. The reason why he said I would come quickly is because jesus also said that the kingdom of heaven is inside you and He would awaken within us, and if we are spiritual aware that he was talking about him coming back within us, first when his true church has him reborn and grown up within them the kingdom of heaven. Nice reading. But the problem is, you only assert prophecies are wrong. You don't prove it. You also ignore basic points of how to interpret Scripture correctly. The facts show that you do not understand how to interpret the Bible based on sound hermeneutics. The second coming prophesies have not failed just because you claim it. The terms "quickly" must be interpreted in light of 2 Peter 3:8, which CLEARLY demonstrates that God's view of time is quite different from ours. Epic fail!

The clear point of 2 Peter 3:8 is that God's view of time is different from ours, so that we cannot think His "quickly" is equally to ours, depending on the circumstances and the issues involved. If God is longsuffering, and takes time bringing judgment because of His mercy, that is a good thing. But to confuse your misreading with a Bible mistake is folly.

Regarding 2 Pe 3:8: I actually address this in my video, “Why Christianity is not the Truth” (vid 3/3). I argue that a prophecy with an ambiguous unit of time is an oxymoron. The point of prophecy is to demonstrate omnipotence or omniscience. Claiming that God somehow forgot that he was talking to humans when he gave the prophecy is a disingenuous copout (although you might be inclined to view it as a great example of “sound hermaneutics”).

You gotta be kidding me. 2 Peter 3:8 never infers or pretends to be a specific prophesy like Isaiah's prophesy about Cyrus. Yet this is YOUR claim. This is circular reasoning fallacy, where you use your own flawed reasoning to come up with an equally flawed conclusion, ignoring the context of the passage and its meaning. What you need is a hermeneutics course.

Regarding “proof”: I don't know how much more proof you need. The bible says Jesus should have returned, oh, about 2000 years ago. He obviously hasn't.
Regarding my inability to interpret scripture "correctly": If by "sound hermaneutics", you mean in a way that interprets “many” to equal “few”, black to equal white, and up to equal down…I agree, I lack this skill.

@jeffkosmo No, the Bible says no such thing. That is a mere claim based on misinterpretation. Sound hermeneutics simply means you use basic reading comprehension skills and you compare Scripture with Scripture, not taking things out of context and not ignoring rules of interpretation for ANY literature. THAT is the skill I refer to, not the sarcastic rhetoric you made up.

In newspaper of Obama's victory on the front page, Illinois Lottery's draw 666 was on Page 2, Bible's Mark of the Beast, announcing Antichrist.
Also, people have remarked to me that Obama has numerous, severe head-scars. Bible states "Antichrist suffers mortal head-wound". Calculating the Antichrist's 42 months rule, starting from Obama's 11/4/2008 election, 42 months is May 2011.

@EndOfTimesApocalypse I do not believe in lottery draw theology and speculative dates based on coincidence and assumption and manipulation. Obama did not being to "rule" until AFTER the inauguration, which means from 11/4/2008 to January, Bush was still ruling. So the Good News is the Gospel, not lottery numbers and speculation.
