  • oh, ive notice how you crakkers would send hate mail to my page and then block me lol. Just like a crakker to throw a stone and then RUN!! lol. punk asses.

  • Looks good.

  • Awww this movie was shoot right around the corner from my house

  • Can somebody...ANYBODY tel me where I can watch this movie online. 1channel.ch doesn't have it :(

  • this reminds me of do the right thing.

  • Omg...enough with the comments about skin color. How are we going to move on as people if we can't reference ourselves as human beings? -__-

  • @ImSodamBitterSweet How the fuck can we move on, when stupid as films such as this one, doesn't allow us to.

  • @monique052001 Elaborate as to why you feel the film doesn't allow us to?

  • Because usually with moves like these they never come to a solution that ACTUALLY heals the situation. and no deep investigation as to why people are behaving this way.Dont bring up the 'issue' if you are not going to delve into it and heal it! Why is this still an 'issue'? who doesnt get teased and made fun for one thing or another. personally, i feel folks need to get over it already,Im just to grown for this shit. i hope i answerd your question, its been a minute.

  • Why Do we smoke...???

  • why should anyone be making fun of someone because of their skin color i am light skin and i dont care if you black white purple orange yellow everyone skin color is beautiful :)

  • It honestly goes both ways. light skin girls pick on darker girls and darker girls pick on light skin girls. I remeber this one light skin girl used to pick on not just dark skin girls but everyone she thought came as a threat. Sad thing was I honestly thought she was so pretty. But on the inside of her wasn't. If a girl was even pretty in her own way then that girl would pick on her.

  • where can i see this online is it on dvd?

  • Where can I watch this film?

  • Looks great!

  • zoe is the same complexion as her mother!

  • yayyy i get to see this tonight :) i met the woman behind this movie yesterday & she was inspirational. i can't wait.

  • In Baltimore, I have seen light-skinned girls picked on for being light-skinned, for having "good hair," and for supposedly being a threat to other girls who had not learned the meaning of sisterhood.

  • @stefburn2010 First of ll light skin girl normally do NOT hair 'googhair' there shit is nappy like everyone else. Light skinned blacks are not biracial. My aunt does hair and most blacks with 'good hair' would not be considered mix to most people. Whites have light skin to, and some don't. does that make THEM less white.

  • i spent the last 2 nights, loking for this fucking film, there is no way finding it. not online and not on dvd, i want to see this so bad.

  • When's this coming out?

  • @AllOfYourLove21 Fall-Winter 2011. They never gave us an exact date.

  • @AllOfYourLove21 Fall - Winter 2011. They never gave us an exact date.

  • did this come out alredyhow can i see it

  • huh?

  • If this movie is based on someone's experience, then I can't take away what happened to them, but just based on my experience growing up in NYC, girls were never picked on for being light skin. If you were picked on for being light skin, it was usually in a playful manner. Dark skinned girl were always the target of ridicule because they got picked on by everybody (I hate to admit, but I partaked in that too). Light skin, brown skin, white, hispanic and asian all picked on dark skinned girls.

  • @Bbopflav212 she was probably picked on for "acting white" or being smart and not because she had light skin. this film is just fill of plotholes and nonsensical development. i wish they'd made the film from her older sister's POV she seemed like she had some depth to her character. i saw it at the berlin film festival and afterwards i felt like yelling to the sky in frustration at the time i wasted watching this disaster.

  • @Bbopflav212 damn i wish i went to your school. cuz i was always picked on for being light skinned. the dark skinned girls were the bullies. maybe cuz 98 percent of the school was dark skinned boys and girls >.<

  • @Bbopflav212 I grew up in Baltimore and I was picked on mercilessly for being light skinned and for the way I talked. All of my classmates made me feel like an outcast for not wearing the right clothes or listening to the right music. When I moved to a predominantly white area the problem was repeated. I could not identify with my white classmates and I still felt like an outcast amongst blacks. I felt terribly alone.

  • @Bbopflav212 i think it just depends on whos in the majority in my school the girls picked on me cause they guys liked me cause i was cute? lol not to gas my self up but my mom was picked on because he is light. I suppose if every one is dark they get pissed at the light girl cause they know thats what the guys want but if light girls are in my majority def the darker girl will be picked on, and that is usually the way it goes

  • @xextraneousx and i just read the comments and realized i am just repeating what every one has said so..sorry

  • @Bbopflav212 shout out to everyone that hit me. Just wanted to elaborate a lil more. I think skin complexion is a way bigger deal in other parts of the country than it is in NYC. I noticed that in a lot of places down south, girls tend to group up based on skin complexion, where as in NY people group up based on race. Not saying that complexion was never an issue, but we just viewed ourselves as black, so there wasn't that tension.

  • This movie takes place in NY?Are you serious, this is a non issue for native new yorker. Up here the dark skinned girls, are hot and they know it. They don't feel the need to give so much energy hating some random biracial people! Get real.ANYONE from new york knows this. What kind of stupid bullshit is this? Mulatto's are not that relevant in our community to hate them, i guess that is why they need to beat a dead horse, 'oh, hard times being mulatto'. No wonder no one saw this shit.

  • @Bbopflav212 If this is another 1 of those "tragic mulatto" BS stories then they can keep it. "The baaad black ppe that R so jealous of the "pretty light skin girl" (like anyone could really give a hoot bc light skin comes a dime a dozen & it isnt color that makes U..ITS FEATURES) vs. the oh so good white ppl that treat her so kind" blah blah blah heard it read it seen it a million times -the storyline is TIRED by now & did I mention that no one even cares- & Im not even dark, wow

  • @SuniDays87 I agree with you both 100%! I was born and raised in new york and i would like to say that NO ONE EVER TEASED LIGHT SKINNED GIRLS. As a matter of fact, I never even heard of no shit like that. I never even experience or witness dark skinned girls being teased, personally. we all got along as black peole. I have only heard about shit like that going down in the south but not up north. This movie is bullshit, and i am happy that i have seen the trailer so i can spare myse.

  • And I am NOT dark skinned either, and being raised in NY i have never in my life been teased for simply being light skinned, by darker skinned girls. I can fucking believe they actually mad a movie about this stupid shit. It is getting old, and movies like this ONLY get made because most black have MOVED ON with this issue! An Biracial is NOT the same as 'LIGHTSKINED' black. Light skinned peole are black, and very well may have darer skinned parent's. Is the director even black?

  • well, looks like precious really took on a lot of different "roles" after playing herself lol

  • I've been talked about by ppl who have a lighter skin tone because I was darker. It does sometimes go the other way ppl.

  • @xLavenderBlossomx im brown skin and i got picked on 4 talking proper so i did the same thing, but then i realized theyre just mad that they didnt understand a word i was saying. lol haters everywhere

  • Please somebody respond! I wanna see this so bad. When does it come out? Can we get it on DVD?!

  • @anywayshane2 that would work too. Shoot, i had 2 wait 4 Moozlum to come out on DVD to see it... why not this too?

  • shes hot but wtf is this movie about?

  • @bkhex maybe you should read the description.

  • I wanna se this so bad!!!!

  • @MrFreshPrinze2010 i kno! but everytime i ask when it comes out im always sent running in a circle...

  • @SweetBrwnSuga ME TOO! I hate that! -_-

  • i'm light skin and went to a hood school for a few monthes and i got picked on. i was never beaten up but i was threatened. i stood up for myself by saying ''you aint scaryin nobody''. i had to stoop down to their level by talking ghetto for them to understand ugh...

  • @xLavenderBlossomx What are you talking about, You are ghetto. But because you are light skinned i guess you think that you are an exception. I would tease you too for being a fucking idiot.

  • @monique052001 that's the problem with tar babies like you. you think it's all about skin color, when really it's about your attitude. stop being jealous of girls who are prettier than you. it's you're fault if you only think light skin girls are genuinely better looking. bye bitch :)

  • @xLavenderBlossomx Ha, it was my pleasure to piss you off. 'Tar' baby? Lol, did i piss your illiterate, desperate for attention, corny, ENVIOUS ass off, lol. Eww! Stop trying to desperately be relevant in people lives, it makes you look pathetic and desperate. No one cares for you and you know it. Star a club or something you weak ass, corny ass piece of shit! Only ghetto ass niggas like you, can only come back with 'Tar Baby' lol.

  • @xLavenderBlossomx Biches like you, obviously COWARDICE in our present's and hate us because you fear us. No one is talking about you, so you how to make up some shit to get talk about, with your no race having ass. That's why whites through your ass in the same category as black ALL of the time! I always think of color yet you called me a tar baby, of you stuppid little hoodrat, lol.Just one big contradiction aren't you, just like most of your kind.

  • And thank you for once again confirming for all of us what a pathetic loser you are. If you really thought you were pretty, you people wouldn't try to dame hard to convince us of it dumb ass. Obviously, you have been NOWHERE to even dare say black women should be jealous of your copy cat asses. Are white women jealous of you? You mut's would never say that shit to a white women without being laughed at. All you get are the crumbs bitch, crying because no one excepts you, lol.

  • How can I be jealous of someone with a completion comparable to urine? I love my sultry chocolate skin, and I know you wish you had it. The sun just bounces off of it. Smooth to the touch, at least this is what Ive heard men say. Especially black women who are natural, are very well liked out here by all races of men. The darker they are the more AUTHENTIC they look being natural thus more exotic. You are a boring, thats why u need to pump your OWN ego up all the time, lol.

  • I am not dark skin you fucking retard! And stop trying to separate dark skin black women from lighter shades of black women, we are the same race! I was specifically talking about BIRACIALS who are NOT black you illiterate bastard.Lastly, black women lusted for without even trying, where the fuck have YOU been? That's right, no where. I been damn near, everywhere (Military up bringing) I'm practically a world citizen.People are fascinated by us, especially in Europe.Nice try!

  • Whites only use you little retarded asses to keep blacks in mental slavery, and desiring to assimilate more and become as white as possible. Then they pay you with crumbs,as they get hard on for REAL Authentic black women in real life. This isn't something knew. White have been mixing with us for hundreds of year, women particularly, makes mulatto offspring. You mutts are so lost, and stupid.Obviously, you believe that lie that you've been told by your overweight, white trash mother.

  • Darker skin, is not only sexy as hell but exotic and smooth, and flawless. And darker skin girl seem to know it, and are damn proud of it. It's monsters like you, who hate on them. Im from NYC, by the way. There is the illusionist world of media and Hollywood, and then there is REAL life, which i happen to live in. Light skin black women get run over for Hispanic women in a Heartbeat but men who like black women usually like them nice and chocolate GOOGLE IT BITCH!

  • ready to see this scene at 1:19

  • this has potential

  • OMG THIS LOOKS GOOD

  • I'll definitely go see it. its nice to see Gabourey Sidibe in something else.

  • @kelz257 Gabourey guest starred in "The Big C" and definitely deserved a nomination for her spot on the show. She flawlessly showed off her comedic timing and the fact that she can be serious and humourous as an actress. I believe she has a lot more to give Hollywood, and they better get ready for Gabourey to come back with numerous accolades.

Want a taste? Check out "The Big C" tv spots from Showtime to see some clips with Sidibe in them. :)
