@smpnyc THANK YOU. I know you replied ages ago, but I gave up on finding what the song was and never saw the comment until now. This is still the only place on the whole internet from what I can tell that's directly identified it.
She gave in to the pressure. He didn't have the right to hold their friendship over her head to get what he wanted. Dawson decided he didn't want her. Everytime Pacey showed interest in her Dawson got possessive. She's not a thing, she's a person. You can't make someone love you that way just because it's what you want. The heart wants what it want's. You have to learn to live with those things. It's not like they said hey lets go break Dawson's heart. They fell in love. It happens.
it's not about chosing one or another...it's about choose between her best friend in the entire world and the possibilily of something.....she chose her best friend!!! she always did!...but i hate that she wasnt honest with dawson on this...she was always honest with him about everyhting...but the most importnt thing she didnt want to??!!!...no idea how he could forgive her...
So does anyone have any clue what this replacement song actually is? ("I can't be what you want me to be...") I only ever watched the show on DVD and I sorta love the song but can't find it to save my life. Any clue?
::.The original song used for the end of this scene was "In Your Keeping" by Jane Arden. I think it truly captured the sadness from 1:48 on. But they have changed alot of original songs on many of the episodes...::
So do we know what the song in the clip on here is (i can't be what you want me to be...) Can't find it for love nor money but think it's a great song.
Oh sorry, I actually meant that at least she gets back together with pacey. I'm pacey/joey all the way! and i guess she didn't really choose dawson, but she really crushed pacey, which i was upset about :(

They had to because of copyright issues.

@CrystallDollie YES! I bought Jann Arden's album because of that song. I am very disappointed that I can't find a clip anywhere.

@CrystallDollie They tend to do that from the tv shows to the dvds. It sucks.

man i really hate joey for choosing dawson over pacey. but at least they get back together!
carahatestrig 3 years ago 4
She didn't exactly choose Dawson. They never became a couple again. She just didn't choose Pacey at first either.
