@DreamsofMajesty This is the Gospel. God sent His only Son to earth to the land of Israel. He was born a little baby boy. His mother and adopted father (both descendants of King David of the tribe of Judah) named him Jesus. Jesus grew up and lived to be a man in his thirty's. At the appointed time Jesus gave His life to pay the penalty for sin. He did this when he was crucified. He died. He rose back from the dead and then went back to His father.  This was done to fullfill God's promise.

I read this 18 page explanation of the Gospel. It was beautiful, but it still boiled down to ... do we trust that God died for us so that we would know He loves us.
