Fallout 3 was a good game however, it had no "roleplaying" factor in my opinion, it had logic which was kind of dumb and choices which were so basic and bland. Mass Effect felt more like a movie and a lot more alive than Fallout 3.

- Word's out on the forum, team mate AI was improved (hope so).

- Shepard's not dead, but you will kill him in this title when choosing wrong team mate(s).

- Progressive texture loader; means hopefully shorter "evilator" scenes.

- New skill leveling system.

Biggest cons IMO:

- Old team mates only play minor roles.

- Power-levelers don't get any boni at all.

- PC version will have the same UI features (minor keyboard support).

Never played a game where a main character was KIA? Take a look at Knights of the Old Republic II. Direct sequel and the main character from 1 is no where to be seen.

Also CoD4 has a main character die half way through. He could die in the first 10 minutes and do the rest of the game in flash back. There are 1000s of options. Writing it and keeping it smart is what's important.

The trailer wasnt the beggining.He is not dead but by Biowares word he is gonna die in 2 if you make the wrong choices.They said the choices of you dieing or not are based on the people you add to your party and who you dont.If you die in 2 then you will have to make a brand new Shepard in 3.
