The best raiding spec is arcane now. it might change in the future but right now it is arcane. at lvl 80 look up a spec. its about 500 dps better than fire or so
im a lvl 57 fire mage and im wondering witch is the best spec for raiding as of 3.3 if anyone could PM me it would be great I'm hearing that its arcane
@doglucky04 yes its been arcane for a while but fire still beat arcane unfortunately you need a high gear score to play fire because you have to sacrifice spell power for hit rating, but at about a 5.7 or 8K gear score you can do an easy 13K
not if your tank doesn't suck - i'm FFB and on average i do about 3-4k dps - i rarely even come close to pulling aggro. plus you have mirror image and invisibility to drop/reset aggro if you get too high.
You are by far the worst mage I have ever seen in wow. Why the hell do you move around so much. I understand when you get the debuff, but to move around so much and not spam you spells your worthless.
its pretty simple to understand Sephronzz if you actually play a caster for...1 week. If you don't learn how to move on kited targets...you loose dps, mobility is an important factor, if you follow the video closely you'll notice he moves only when his Gcd is active or when he needs to kill slimes, to avoid needing to move more when the add will get away of his range.
He did not need to move as much as he did, fire spells have huge ranges 36+ yards depending on what talents you spec into, he was never more than 30 yards from the boss and can stand in the middle of the room for most of that fight and hit the boss the entire time.
fire is the only ''fun'' spec right now imo

lolz your mage is bad az frie. my mage is fire/frost doing 6.9k its in the gear you use tryed them all this is best 4 dmg. arcane best 4 dps

Arcane is the best for instant damage. But arcane sustains alot of mana draining
Me myself on my mage is frost and I pull 10k - 11k on bosses in 3.3.3 .

17% (3% from talents+3% from shadowpriest or boomkin+11% from ur own hit rating from items (1% - 26 hit rating.) count.

Fire/TtW spec doesn't get 3% from talents, FFB gets 3% and arcane gets 6%, fire doesn't get any

hit cap is 17% and depending on how u spec'd u can get it down do 11%(+talents which is 6%) and then u can usually count on a draenei for a 1% buff.
