i seem to have the same problem as many of you have said after surgery i have a painful mass that goes down to my testicle. it is more painful than the rest of my operation area.
Mine yesterday by laparoscopy (keyhole) at the main hospital in Guildford in England. No charge, thanks to our National Health Service.
Scary experience but only because I'd never had surgery. All the staff there were perfect, full of concern and good humour. In at 8am out at 3pm. Very little pain despite several holes drilled in abdomen, already stopped taking painkillers. Trying to remember to take it easy (daren't tell Other Half all this cos she's looking after me mmmm)
@Lrdvltr OH SHIT! O_o I'm actually almost afraid to ask you how the surgery turned out (being that you typed this 1 year ago)! If my surgeon was watching this vid while performing the surgery, I'd have gotten up and ran...... and that'd be long, LONG before he/she'd get his/her hands on any surgical instrument!
If you experience excruciating pain (nail gun shot pain; immobile), call or see your doctor immediately. If it's a mild pain and or swollen, give it a week or two. In my case, I had a lump where my hernia was after surgery, in the groin region, with minor swelling. Concerned as you are, the doctor told me what I just told you (took it as advice) and waited it out for a week. Now, here I am 3 years later, going to the gym everyday, good as new - no problems.
I had this operation last week. The operation was not done by laproscopy method as hernia was big. but still i feel something hard inside my scrotal sac which extends till my groin. when told this to doc, he told that hardness will be there and will reduce with time and the shape of scrotal sac wont be as it used to be before. am still confused. can anyone advice if this is normal?
@dijginew im going in this tuesday for right inguinal mines as big a grapefruit... and its still reducible.. they said it was going to be larproscopic.. i hope it is.. they told me my sac is so stretched out.. that when operation is over. it will have a void in it.. and the body doesnt like voids. so it will fill with fluid and be just as big as it is now and will take time to reduce back to a normal size.
@tinman842 Mine was probably double yours (more on the inside), It does stretch out the sac quite a bit like you said, but it's normal. After surgery, for a week or two, you'll notice extra fluid in the scrotum sac, it's perfectly normal. It gradually reduces, you won't even notice it. Like I said, the worst pain I had was in my abdominal region from all the poking and prodding; that lasted 2-3 days after surgery. The doctor will prescribe you a pain medication, don't worry.
@poise1990 i had my surgery.. it took an hour longer than they expected i was out cold the whole time.. ride home sucked. they told me to walk and my one week chek up he said it looked good and do whatever i want with in reason.. my saks full of fluid.. and now i can feel a hard bump and something seems to be attatched to my right testicle.. i feel a large hard ball in my sak that i cant push bak in.. have i re ruptured or is this normal....
Im 16 and i play basketball and i found out i was born with mine and started showing during hard weightlifting and running. So anyone whos trying to play basketball or football who has one i highly recommend not to play cause at first it feels fine then it starts to gradually get sore when you walk.
This is my first time taking a hernia operation and these points have helped me alot. can anyone answer this question for me, Can i undergo my hernia operation and I am seeing my menstraul? Thanks in advance.
I got a Hernia Question for you people out their that had the operation done. I had Hernia Surgery done right above my belly button 8 years or so ago. I am wondering do you guys still feel the bump even after surgery? I can feel the bump but only difference is I can't push in back into my stomach anymore. I know its is actually bump and is not the scar tissue. Thanks Please let me know!
i think it is the muscles that grew the wrong way! i asked my doc the same question and i had my surgery done 8 months ago and i asked him and he told me that its the muscles! but idk if its different for you!
Haha, don't worry, I had my surgery 2-3 years ago and never felt better. Mine was done laparoscopically, not opened (takes longer to heal). The Dr. told me mine was one of the biggest he seen, so really, no matter how bad it is, you should be fine. The worst it will get is on the day of the surgery (after), you'll be a little drugged up from the morphine and afterwards he will probably just prescribe you vicodin just for pain sake. It took me a week to fully recover.
@MeMartini1 i wouldnt put it so lightly, surgery is the easy part. I had open surgery 5 days ago, im walking fine but there is still pain, i think the worst part is standing after sitting or lying down, for the guys just make sure you pull your balls from between your legs when you stand up or it huuuuuuuurts lol you will know what i mean...
Very systematic video about hernia repair and operations. I have learned a lot from the video. The same with Symposier site, have time to visit the site, and there you will see more updates about hernia and related diseases presented.
How big are the scars with laparoscopic surgery on this type of hernia? fotos? I have a budoir foto-shoot the second week of October and need exercise prep before this still, when able after op? It is not necessary for taking anti-rejection meds for the mesh op I hope. If so, alrenatives to mesh?
I had an inguinal hernia on the right side of my groin, they used the mesh method and I woke up about two hours after I went in for surgery. That day and the day after were pretty tough but after that I felt fine. I was fully recovered in about two weeks but I could walk around fine after about 4-5 days.
Hey there, I had a Left Inguinal Hernia repaired two days ago, they also used the mesh in me. It's not been any fun but it's getting much better quicker. I have to go today and have a drain bag and tube removed, don't know what else. As for the mesh I don't feel it at all like some people said I would. I've been walking often, but it's really sore.
4 months ago a girl was found dead at her computer dripping in water, she was still signed in to her youtube account and had not forwarded this message. copy and paste this message to five other videos before sunset.
My doctor did NOT use laser but a regular scalpel. He told me that it wouldn't feasible in my case to go through my navel. If you have a choice, I'd go with the "scope", as it's less invasive and your recovery time is even faster, since you won't have a long incision to deal with. Today even if you go with an incision, it's not a big cut and you're done before you know it! I went to sleep and when I woke up, I felt refreshed and just great!! You'll do fine!!
In answer to your question, my hernia was repaired by the surgeon making about a 2 to 3 inch incision. Yes, he did suture a mesh pad in me and I was sedated. My hernia was in the lower left groin. In my case, he told me my lower left abdominal "floor" was collapsed and bulged out. I went into surgery for 8am and was awake and done by 9:15am. Left the surgery center 15 or 20 minutes later. It was a breeze and you should have no problems! Relax! Get it done and you'll be better for it!
I had a triple hernia. I got it from playing Indoor Cricket taking a diving catch. The mesh was used for the two major breaches but the small third one was simply stitched. I was in hospital for 4 nights. Mine was not as easy as some of these other comments here. Will take a month to recover with 3 months to wait till I can play sports.
I just had this done this morning and the way they do it today is FANTASTIC!! It took about an hour and 15 minutes and after I woke up from anesthesia, I was able to eat, drink and get out of bed and walk. They released me the same day and, get this, they GLUED me shut, not sutured me. Amazing!! Now I have to go back April 28 for followup and I should be back to work in three weeks!! Glad it's over, though! PS--I walked to a little league game walking up a hill with no problems!!
wow, I'm scheduled for a hernia repair umbilical surgery this coming Thursday and i'm kinda scared, was yours with the laser or thw regular hernia surgery? the dr. asked me which one I wanted but I don't know...how big was your cut? did they put you the mesh inside of your tummy?
hey friends, i think surgery is best way to get rid this hernia as i dont think iwill be painfull any way further u can do ur work after very short span of time like me i have been suffering from hernia but afterbieng operated i m feeling too good .
I know how to repair hernia without surgery...Natural way take you 3-4 months and will never come back...Few plants need to be mixed to make them like butter then apply on the soft cloth and tide up over the hernia and leave like that for 8 days, then replace again with new one then hold again for another 8 days that's mean every 8 days need to renew and do that for 3-4 month it's depend on how long you suffer from hernia...
I know do the surgery if you need to working,i understand that but imagine 1000s years ago people suffer of this type hernia and that time no surgery at all...So practicing is not cost you anything just few plants take from the local park :))...Anyway in this country hernia or any surgery is free but have to waiting 2-3 months or if you have money you can go to the private hospital without waiting...
hi there i am sorry for late answer you can check this video and i have just put the recipe for healing hernia...Read it and see if you can understand...Thanks...
Hey no problem for recipe but the problem is how to call this plant on English...The name of this plant is GAVEZ (Bosnian and Croatian word) so i am not sure how to call on English this plant...Al you have to do is to get this plant and bee honey grinding together to make like a cream then put on the hot reg and tide up to the place of hernia and keep like that for 7 days but you must stay in the bed not moving (only if you need it) then after 7 days do it again and do that for 2-3 months
@ploD1 Hi could you tell me the recipe in detail please i sufer from hernia i had surgey but the hernia come back I' m realy desperate i don't know what to do.And if you have msn,fb or something let me know to understound beter. Please
