PEOPLE DONT UNDERSTAND THAT HORI MAKES BETTER STICK THAN MADCATZ, PEOPLE JUST LOOK AT THE BUTTON AND STICK BRAND AND THATS IT .TOP JAPANESE PLAYERS IN JAPAN USE HORI.I HAVE BOTH, MADCATZ HAVE ALOT OF PROBLEMS, MY TE STICK ALLWAYS STOP WORKING AND HAS LAG ON REACTION TIME .. HORI MAKES THE BEST STICKS.
@HARDBODYRALF : I use both and my TE never broke down on me yet. And TE are nice sticks, but I use my new Hori VX SA. I should make a video of my new sticks...hmm lol
@falcolombardi2116 no production stick can touch the Hori Real Arcade Pro Premium Vielix. it's the rolls-royce of fight sticks. it's basically like having a taito viewlix cab on your lap.
@falcolombardi2116 :I agree. I saw this while watching I think the Revelations tourney and some guy brought this massive VLX. I was like, oh jebus - he's ballin!...but Daigo won using a MCTZ stick still lol.
@HARDBODYRALF ehhh i'd have to differ with the entire "top japanese players use hori" because both justin wong and Daigo Umehara both use mad cats. i realize they aren't the only top japanese players but they are indeed a few of the more well known top players. tuned into the evo tournament and i RARELY saw any hori sticks.
@L8Cairo : And also the TE has become a standard now which makes it easier to configure buttons if the majority of players are using the TE button layout. Because the Hori button layout is really awkward with the "B" button being on top of the "A" button and to the right of the "B" button is X and Y. But luckily button presets are designed with Hori and Madcatz layout in mind so overall, it boils down to weight, aesthetics, and design.
@L8Cairo Either layout is good for beginners or more experienced players, but I'd recommend the Madcatz/Viewlix style layout since it's more common. Even the newer Hori sticks are starting to have that style of layout. Knowing the more common layout is important; imagine if you're somewhere and need to borrow someone else's stick, then you'll already be accustomed to the more prevalent layout.
Does this have a digital or analog joystick? I don't see a switch for digital/analog, so I'm assuming it is a digital stick like other Hori products are. Is this right?
The Hori HRAP stick costs less but you still have to spend more money to buy Sawna parts. So, in the end, you might even end up spending more money on it than the Mad Catz TE stick. Just buy the TE and get it over with, guys.
Please read the video description before commenting. I try to be informative as much as possible about this product, so take some time to kick back and enjoy.
@MrZhred : TE because it has the Sanwa buttons compared to the EX which has stock hori buttons. Experienced players KNOW the difference. The hori's aren't horrible, but trust me, Sanwas are nice IMO.
@YOSHiCAM112 Same question but add se to the end of the hori stick? which is better?? I have been hearing SAnwa = fighting games and SEimitsu = shooters
Am looking for a stick for fighting games and I have found a hori ex- se for $90 but it has seimitsu parts. The cheapest te stick I have found is $125. Keep in mind this is my first fight stick. I have always played with a pad.

so, i bought some hori ex2's. the buttons went out and I didn't know how to replace them. i guess i can't. i need a good stick, would you recommend this one?
@YOSHiCAM112 I didn't mind the Hori buttons, and the stick did well. I just need a good stick that's moddable. the ex2's had buttons that were saudered to the pcb, so i was pissed when I took it apart only to find out i couldn't replace the button. plus, the wiring went out, so i have to move around the wire to get it to work. pos, in my opinion.

its all good dude. but. i've played with sanwa buttons and to the touch they feel a bit better but as far as responsiveness and its purpose as a button i don't see a difference at all.
Agrees, sensitivity and responsiveness in a button are completely different from one another. I can only hope that future buyers of this product do some good research.
SE has better buttons I have the EX it's great the weight makes it Amazing(not saying the SE weighs less just a general statement) I might change the buttons though
Actually wired sticks are better than wireless because fighters need precision. Lag can play a factor nomatter how little it is, as well other devices can get in the way. Wired headsets are outdated, bluetooth has been around a while, and regular wireless before that. Does the wired headset come with a Fat Boys cassette tape?
First of all, the xbx does not any Bluetooth tech, so that rules out blue tooth wireless headsets. Secondly, why would a person want to purchase a wireless headset when they already have a wired one when they bought their xbx? In the end, regardless if it's wired or not, the stick is wired, so having a wireless headset kind of still handicaps in front of the TV huh?
Yes you can play SF4 PC with this. I do at a friends house. It uses games for windows, so this Hori 360 syncs automatically when connected to a PC via the USB cable and installs the drivers automatically. Just make sure you have a nice Graphics Card to run the PC version.
My friend also has a quad as well, so you should also run the game well @ a full 60fps. Although adjustments were needed, anti alias, buffer, etc etc, the main slow down issue for my bud was shadows try to find a benchmark if you can.
You are entitled to your opinion. This is just my personal review. Anyone watching this video should also watch the many other vids on this product other than mind to make their final decision on buying this product. And yes the stock Hori buttons are sturdier because they are not as sensitive as Sanwas. But Sanwas for me, feel great and I have the security of knowing that it's top level material.
Isn't it hard to do things like quarter and half circle turns with a square gate? Just wondering, I've never bought a fight stick before and I'm in the market.
pyrofreak - I think it is, its why I recommend that you buy a Sanwa GT-Y octo gate. They're only $5 and very easy to install. If you have an HRAP EX stick then all you need is a screwdriver and a 7mm nutdriver to open it up. The mod only takes a few minutes and IMO is a big improvement.
they are not that bad. They respond perfectly unlike the buttons madcatz puts in the sf4 SE fightstick and some people actually prefer their buttons to be more firm. I know that my fingertips rest slightly on the buttons when I play and that when I play on sanwas, it will occasionally make me mispress because of how sensitive they are.
You make a good point, but the sticks are still VERY nice and more or less arcade perfect. I've just orded an HRAP2 and I'm definitely going to put Sanwa buttons in (w/ a Seimitsu cherry) but I find it hard to believe the Hori are as unresponsive as you say. /shrug
Fair enough. Yea, you didn't say that but I've heard it from others. Your stick looks nice now that its modded. I plan on going w/ a blue theme myself.
may need a converter or software online though cause i yes a hori stick for my ps2 on pc all the time with a conveter but thats cause you can't plug a ps2 controller into a computer.
I said in the fucking video that I'll replace them with Sanwas and even in the info section I listed what parts I used to mod it with. Are you that fucking stupid to read? Or are you just simply to slow? If you don't know about Sanwa buttons then Google it, yeah the thing you search massive amounts of Yaoi with.
This question should be posted on the srk forums and not here. It is irrelevant since this is a review ABOUT the stick and not how to MOD it. I would understand your question if I did have my own custom art, but evidently I don't so your question is useless here since I have no info regarding your said question.
i haven't really tried it but i prefer the other stick to the cherry style one, I played with the cherry once and it was different for me, but if you recommend sticking it out with the cherry i'll do that.
Bat top = American cabs, Cherry's = Jap Cabs. You might like Bat top more if your use to Amer Cabs. I use to too. But after spending time with the Cherry, I prefer it more because it cups my palm better to preform moves. It all comes down to preference really.
38006- It comes down to personal preference. I own two HRAP EX sticks, one that I modded with Sanwas, another with the Horis. The Sanwas are super sensitive while the Horis need a little more pressure. I prefer the Sanwas but the Horis are honestly fine. Ask yourself if you prefer a little resistance (Hori) or none (Sanwa).
One mod BOTH my sticks have in common are octo gates. The square gate the HRAP comes with is terrible, IMHO much worse than the buttons YoshiCam has such a problem with.
while looking at your review i noticed something; the start and back buttons, do those ever get in the way? i noticed both of the madcatz sticks dont have them on the top.
since I only use this for SFIV (as of right now) I played over 100 hours of it using this stick and never once I had the problem of "accidentally" hitting the start and back buttons.
Only nubs who can't control their muscles hit the buttons by accident.
And even if you do hit it, SFIV blocks out the start and back buttons during online play, so it won't bother you at all when competing online.
head to head however via locally, I still have no problems with this stick hitting the wrong buttons
the PC version will come bundled with a SFIV stick I think, so you don't have to worry about this stick to be used on a PC. Although I haven't test this out on a PC with a MS game, so I dunno.
well you can't really judge a product unless it's in your hands. The stock buttons are a bit stiff. The new Sanwa buttons are Super soft and if you drop a tooth pick onto it, a command will execute; that's how sensitive the Sanwas are (to me).
Essentially, Sanwas are used in Real Arcade machines, so if you want your moneys worth at home, Sanwas and even Seimitsu's are the way to go for serious fighting fans.
Nice stick. Tell me, the semitsu balltop u added, did u just unscrew the sanwa balltop and screw the new one on? Or did u replace the entire stick itself?
3 weeks because they were extremely busy because of the release of SFIV. Now that everything is settled, it should take about a week for most customers in the U.S. I don't need to do a video demonstration of my arcade stick. I have pictures in the info section of before and after the mod process so fill free to look there. Also, I have a bunch of SFIV videos where I am using my arc-stick, so you can be the judge on how well I execute my moves. I main Guile, so this stick is a great 2 play with.
Hey, turns out that the square gate or circular gate isn't really the issue as to why I'm having a hard time doing uppercuts in SF2. It's really the slant of the stick. In the arcades, the sticks have a slight slope so that they're pointed at your face rather than at the ceiling. And I'm used to THAT. Not the gate shape. When I tilt my stick about 45 degrees, I can do uppercuts the way my hand has always done it. But the square does require a larger area to move in compared to a circle.
hey fuck face maybe you wanna calm down a bit its a fucking opinion. you don't have to go off and rage on one little comment. if your going to be a dick about someones comment you should disable all comments to your videos.
and by the way you guile fucking sucks, wow you can beat a CPU big fucking deal. i would fuck you up with my 360 controller and Rufus any day of the week.
It's kids like you on Youtube that make the world as corrupt as it is. Maybe your pants are too tight, yeah, the one that your MOM bought for you. And you know I am right about opinions in stating what's "better." Your just making a complete idiot of yourself. Well I can't blame you, you are merely still a "kid."
if you read in the info, a flat head is NEEDED to assist in taking out the QD's, this includes start/back buttons. Quick Discons are a paint to get out, but with the right tools, they'll come off.
oh ok cool, cause ive read around that theres some adhesive that is on the start/back buttons therefore making it more difficult to take off, but if their as easy as getting the main buttons off, ill take your word for it
From what I researched, Seimitsu joysticks have a shorter "throw" or when you press forward forward it takes less time to do it; good for Tekken I believe.
Note:
Seimitsu ball tops will work on this Sanwa joystick(pics in info section).
I guess it's preference and what game your playing.
As for smoothness. Well you can't go wrong on either Sanwa or Seimitsus but I just use the one I got---Sanwa.
Hey thanks for the prompt response , so ..Is the sanwa stick in the hrapex the same one that I would order from lizard lick , or someone like that or can the hrapex fit more than just one sanwa .
For my next stick, if I'm ever going to buy one, would be the x-arcade Tankstick. They look just like the Street Fighter 2 original sticks that I'm accustomed to. Baseball bat stick. Horizontal Buttons.
pretty lucky i got mine for only 140 with shipping...waiting for my sanwa buttons to come in! cool mod man i like the semitsu joystick and the all blue finish, and i dont wanna remove the protective film until i get the buttons in. can you remove scratches of the surface with anything? just wondering
Sanwas. Did you ever replace yours? I just got my stick today and plan on getting rid of those mushy stock buttons. Got a suggestion on where to buy in the US? (I can't tell what you said in the video on where you get yours) Thanks for the great vid.
well if i could find this stick i would buy it in a heartbeat but since their sold out on alot of websites im in gonna lay down some more cash for an Arcade in a box stick. full sanwa right off the back. =/ be around 215 bucks but o well
Dude, It's me Kuropin. You wanna hit up SFIV soon? Btw, have you noticed how bad the responsiveness of the arcade stick is? Hopefully the new buttons on the way will fix it.
please note not to confuse my viewers with the term "arcade stick." They are really scared of purchasing these type of stuff. What I think you mean is that the buttons kinda suck. Yes they do, I explained this in my vid. Sanwas should replace this issue. As for the joystick itself, it's just fine (remember its already sanwa.)
That's coo lol. I wasn't expecting an instant match right away. It's just that most of my friends are into shooters, so like I only have minimum friends who play sf4. I guess I am just rounding up people to play for fun on live.
I am currently sick right now, so you won't spot me online much this week if not ever lol.
I bought this stick and I love it. I may try some of the Sanwa buttons later (not because I think these suck). I just noticed that everyone who uses those swears by them so I guess I should give them a shot.
Cared to fight me bro? (not now, being that I am in a parked car stealing Internet from my school as I am typing this) but I am rounding up casual sf4 gamers to play against just for the noobie players like myself (not saying your a noob or anything)
ok so ill get the OBSFs then. Im guessing the OBSF 30s are the fighting buttons and the OBSF 24s are the start and select buttons correct? thanks a lot for all the info and such man.
Thanks man. Im ganna be picking up this stick then. Ive been playing SF since the first SF2 so im pretty good. One question though. what size Sanwas do i need to put in that stick? Im on the same site your getting yours from and just want to make sure im getting the right ones. Also would those white ones with the lil guys on them fit? they rock lmao.
Ok im having a tough time deciding to get The awesome beast you have there (HRAP EX) OR the Street Fighter 4 Standard Fight Stick... mind swaying my mind to push for the Hori? lol
I got the achievement for 10 ranked wins in a row, well 21 really, but 11 ranked and 10 player matches all with this hori stick using the STOCK buttons. This just shows you how reliable this stick is. Don't believe me?
Check my gamer tag.
This is a good stick out the box, and will be even better next week....
Does sound pretty good. I got that achievement with my controller too BTW, As well as beating the game on Hardest. But im highly considering the EX because i heard the EX2 is slightly more difficult to swap out for Sanwa buttons.
If your really into sf, hands down pick this damn stick right away. If your new to sf, and looking for a CHEAP arcade stick, then get the ex2. And yes it is more difficult to mod the ex2 than the hraps.
Iuno much about the madcrapz fight stick, but people have been complaining about some faulty sticks...sucks to be them.
if you paid close attention to the vid, I said I was going to get my buttons from Lizard Lick. Yeah, it's a stupid name, but these guys are a fan fav for arcade parts.
I ordered the ODSF 30 Sanwas 8 of em for each button.
There's no point in using the same fruity windows color scheme buttons, so I got something nice instead...REAL nice.
I'll be making another vid when I get my buttons.
Can you give a hint on what your color scheme will be? I'm thinkin about gettin 8 green ones. There's also the old throw back to the Street Fighter II scheme which is red white and blue - whaddya think of that? Another choice would be to follow the current scheme and get 6 white and two black/grey as well as get a white knob.
I just ordered one of these after returning that garbage control pad that MadCatz made from SF4. Normally you have to play the game you bought the controller for before you know if it is garbage or not. Not the case with that crap!
wdf kinda review?

its all good dude. but. i've played with sanwa buttons and to the touch they feel a bit better but as far as responsiveness and its purpose as a button i don't see a difference at all.
AndyMac661 2 years ago
Agrees, sensitivity and responsiveness in a button are completely different from one another. I can only hope that future buyers of this product do some good research.

LOL wired head sets
jdigitalseven 2 years ago
The whole arcade stick is wired too, so do you want to also "lol" at that as well? or do you still want to make an ass of yourself?
I guess all that masterbation from looking at your fathers 70s porn mag got the best of you.
:/
fucking idiot.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
Actually wired sticks are better than wireless because fighters need precision. Lag can play a factor nomatter how little it is, as well other devices can get in the way. Wired headsets are outdated, bluetooth has been around a while, and regular wireless before that. Does the wired headset come with a Fat Boys cassette tape?
hillgrant 2 years ago
First of all, the xbx does not any Bluetooth tech, so that rules out blue tooth wireless headsets. Secondly, why would a person want to purchase a wireless headset when they already have a wired one when they bought their xbx? In the end, regardless if it's wired or not, the stick is wired, so having a wireless headset kind of still handicaps in front of the TV huh?
:/
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
yeah
SlashBlastMichael 2 years ago
Yes you can play SF4 PC with this. I do at a friends house. It uses games for windows, so this Hori 360 syncs automatically when connected to a PC via the USB cable and installs the drivers automatically. Just make sure you have a nice Graphics Card to run the PC version.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
Thanks for the answer Yoshi! I Have GTX 275 and Core Quad )
xpushistiyx 2 years ago
My friend also has a quad as well, so you should also run the game well @ a full 60fps. Although adjustments were needed, anti alias, buffer, etc etc, the main slow down issue for my bud was shadows try to find a benchmark if you can.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
You are entitled to your opinion. This is just my personal review. Anyone watching this video should also watch the many other vids on this product other than mind to make their final decision on buying this product. And yes the stock Hori buttons are sturdier because they are not as sensitive as Sanwas. But Sanwas for me, feel great and I have the security of knowing that it's top level material.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
That was a great review lol. Very entertaining.
StrayTenor 2 years ago
Isn't it hard to do things like quarter and half circle turns with a square gate? Just wondering, I've never bought a fight stick before and I'm in the market.
pyrofreak657 2 years ago
pyrofreak - I think it is, its why I recommend that you buy a Sanwa GT-Y octo gate. They're only $5 and very easy to install. If you have an HRAP EX stick then all you need is a screwdriver and a 7mm nutdriver to open it up. The mod only takes a few minutes and IMO is a big improvement.
KoolAidManOG 2 years ago
I am having immense trouble with the same things, I am buying an 8 gate for mine just because I have trouble standing straight
after4ffect 2 years ago
at first but u get used to it
acecon000 2 years ago
they are not that bad. They respond perfectly unlike the buttons madcatz puts in the sf4 SE fightstick and some people actually prefer their buttons to be more firm. I know that my fingertips rest slightly on the buttons when I play and that when I play on sanwas, it will occasionally make me mispress because of how sensitive they are.
razorcloud 2 years ago
well if you spend over $100 on a product, wouldn't you expect GREAT quality?!?!?!
Hori's are ok, but SANWA owners KNOW the difference.
If you're serious about having a great stick to play with, make sure you have great buttons that to accompany it IMO.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
You make a good point, but the sticks are still VERY nice and more or less arcade perfect. I've just orded an HRAP2 and I'm definitely going to put Sanwa buttons in (w/ a Seimitsu cherry) but I find it hard to believe the Hori are as unresponsive as you say. /shrug
rss313 2 years ago
I never stated that the Hori's were unresponsive, at least not to my knowledge.
They work fine the Hori...
But they could be better---that's all I am saying.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
Fair enough. Yea, you didn't say that but I've heard it from others. Your stick looks nice now that its modded. I plan on going w/ a blue theme myself.

Btw umm whats so horrible about the buttons and what kind would you prefer???
auroraas 2 years ago
I said in the fucking video that I'll replace them with Sanwas and even in the info section I listed what parts I used to mod it with. Are you that fucking stupid to read? Or are you just simply to slow? If you don't know about Sanwa buttons then Google it, yeah the thing you search massive amounts of Yaoi with.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
is it possible to request a hori arcade stick with our designs for the layout because i have a hella ton of images/design i want to use
auroraas 2 years ago
This question should be posted on the srk forums and not here. It is irrelevant since this is a review ABOUT the stick and not how to MOD it. I would understand your question if I did have my own custom art, but evidently I don't so your question is useless here since I have no info regarding your said question.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
i haven't really tried it but i prefer the other stick to the cherry style one, I played with the cherry once and it was different for me, but if you recommend sticking it out with the cherry i'll do that.
sackyhack89 2 years ago
Bat top = American cabs, Cherry's = Jap Cabs. You might like Bat top more if your use to Amer Cabs. I use to too. But after spending time with the Cherry, I prefer it more because it cups my palm better to preform moves. It all comes down to preference really.
:)
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
i dont know why you would want to mod the buttons they work fucking great
38006 2 years ago
Sanwas feel even greater. Any stick mods knows this.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
38006- It comes down to personal preference. I own two HRAP EX sticks, one that I modded with Sanwas, another with the Horis. The Sanwas are super sensitive while the Horis need a little more pressure. I prefer the Sanwas but the Horis are honestly fine. Ask yourself if you prefer a little resistance (Hori) or none (Sanwa).
One mod BOTH my sticks have in common are octo gates. The square gate the HRAP comes with is terrible, IMHO much worse than the buttons YoshiCam has such a problem with.
KoolAidManOG 2 years ago
while looking at your review i noticed something; the start and back buttons, do those ever get in the way? i noticed both of the madcatz sticks dont have them on the top.
WolfofRage 2 years ago
since I only use this for SFIV (as of right now) I played over 100 hours of it using this stick and never once I had the problem of "accidentally" hitting the start and back buttons.
Only nubs who can't control their muscles hit the buttons by accident.
And even if you do hit it, SFIV blocks out the start and back buttons during online play, so it won't bother you at all when competing online.
head to head however via locally, I still have no problems with this stick hitting the wrong buttons
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
oh ok cool thanks for the input
WolfofRage 2 years ago
Will it work on Street Fighter 4 on PC?
sandruz87 2 years ago
the PC version will come bundled with a SFIV stick I think, so you don't have to worry about this stick to be used on a PC. Although I haven't test this out on a PC with a MS game, so I dunno.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
ty very much, so i will wait the stick for PC

Looks good but why exactly do the buttons suck and u got to change them ?
Realmasterorder 2 years ago
well you can't really judge a product unless it's in your hands.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
wat size is the start and back buttons? 30mm or 24mm?
gAmER4LIfE72595 2 years ago
24mm. for start and back buttons.
The parts I used for my modded HRAP.EX are:
-8 Sanwa OBSF-30 (blue)
-2 Seimitsu PS-14-DN (black body, blue plunger)
-1 Seimitsu LB-39 Clear Joystick Ball Top (blue)
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
sorry about the questions but this is my last 1 how much did it cost u for all the parts? thanks
gAmER4LIfE72595 2 years ago
only $34 with shipping.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
was the seimitsu buttons skrew in ones and wat shipping method did u use? sorry about the questions
gAmER4LIfE72595 2 years ago
The start and back button seimitsu's are screw ins, which were easier to put in than the punch ins.
The 8 main sanwa buttons are not screw ins.
Standard shipping I think I chosed.

you don't really have to change the buttons if you are fine with the stock Hori buttons but Sanwa or Seimitsu is far superior in quality.

I main Guile, so this stick is a great 2 play with.

nightshot103 2 years ago
Lol how?
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
Hey, turns out that the square gate or circular gate isn't really the issue as to why I'm having a hard time doing uppercuts in SF2. It's really the slant of the stick. In the arcades, the sticks have a slight slope so that they're pointed at your face rather than at the ceiling. And I'm used to THAT. Not the gate shape. When I tilt my stick about 45 degrees, I can do uppercuts the way my hand has always done it. But the square does require a larger area to move in compared to a circle.

If I wanted white Sanwas, I wouldve just bought the TE.
Obviously I got the Hori instead, and chose my preferred preferences.
You cannot claim "white" looks better because that's just opinion; it's worthless to even claim so.

hey fuck face maybe you wanna calm down a bit its a fucking opinion. you don't have to go off and rage on one little comment. if your going to be a dick about someones comment you should disable all comments to your videos.

hey whats up (again)
some people said it was hard getting the QD's out of the back and start buttons. was it hard for you? if no, howd you get them out?
cggilbycg 2 years ago
if you read in the info, a flat head is NEEDED to assist in taking out the QD's, this includes start/back buttons. Quick Discons are a paint to get out, but with the right tools, they'll come off.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
oh ok cool, cause ive read around that theres some adhesive that is on the start/back buttons therefore making it more difficult to take off, but if their as easy as getting the main buttons off, ill take your word for it
cggilbycg 2 years ago
I mean, as you can see for yourself in info section where I posted pics I CLEARLY GOT THEM OFF, so there not stuck on forever lol.
as for taking them out...well I recommend sanding down the buttons a bit (where you pinch them to go in) so that it be easier to "snap" into place.
Lotsa elbow grease is needed for new buttons, but in the end, the Sanwas should stay in place for 2 or more years, so it's all worth it.
GOOD LUCK!!!
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
Really good review and info thanks a million , is the emitsu joystick smoother and more responsive then the stock sanwa that comes on it .
diagoCRiME77 2 years ago
From what I researched, Seimitsu joysticks have a shorter "throw" or when you press forward forward it takes less time to do it; good for Tekken I believe.
Note:
Seimitsu ball tops will work on this Sanwa joystick(pics in info section).
I guess it's preference and what game your playing.
As for smoothness. Well you can't go wrong on either Sanwa or Seimitsus but I just use the one I got---Sanwa.
Again, just preference and convience.
:)
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
Hey thanks for the prompt response , so ..Is the sanwa stick in the hrapex the same one that I would order from lizard lick , or someone like that or can the hrapex fit more than just one sanwa .
diagoCRiME77 2 years ago
Why would you want to switch the already installed Sanwa!?!?
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago

diagoCRiME77 2 years ago
I have the Sega Virtua Stick High Grade and the Hori Fighting Stick entry level.
I notice the difference in the sticks, but I can hardly tell any difference in the buttons...!!!!
SANWA BUTTONS on Sega VS and Stock on Horis.

Ur point?
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
Just enjoy your arcade pro. It looks nice.
For my next stick, if I'm ever going to buy one, would be the x-arcade Tankstick. They look just like the Street Fighter 2 original sticks that I'm accustomed to. Baseball bat stick. Horizontal Buttons.
Tell me about MAME.
nightshot103 2 years ago
I was thinking about buying the tankstick for my ps2, but ever since I heard about sf4 for 360/ps3 I simply had to get Hori.
I prefer the jap layout on buttons n cherry top,
It's all preference.
:)
The straight layout is on this stick too, except it would really cause strain to the wrist lol.
Pics of it are in the info section to see what I am talking about.

Dude, It's me Kuropin. You wanna hit up SFIV soon? Btw, have you noticed how bad the responsiveness of the arcade stick is? Hopefully the new buttons on the way will fix it.
voltz83 2 years ago
please note not to confuse my viewers with the term "arcade stick." They are really scared of purchasing these type of stuff. What I think you mean is that the buttons kinda suck. Yes they do, I explained this in my vid. Sanwas should replace this issue. As for the joystick itself, it's just fine (remember its already sanwa.)

Well I paid $130 with free shipping and ordered 8 buttons for $24+$5 shipping, so I spent only around $160 instead of $200 like you said.
This is a good stick, I won plenty matches in sf4 using stock buttons.
You have sf4 and 360?
Play me for fun.
Interested?
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
I prefer sanwas, but seimitsu's do look cooler.
The hrap ex SE has full sanwas, check that out instead of this EX.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
Wait...so you didn't read the info I typed up?
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
Lunchbox5388 2 years ago
Your going to need:
8 Sanwas OBSF 30
2 Sanwas OBSF 24
alternatively, you can choose Seimitsu's over Sanwas if you prefer style over function.
OBSF are Snap ins
and OBSN's are Screw ins.
Think of the "N" in OBSN as in nut.
Snap ins work better bc the "A" button with OBSN have trouble fitting into place.
OBSF however, do not have this problem.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
dude u got this for $120 damn lucky!!

Ok im having a tough time deciding to get The awesome beast you have there (HRAP EX) OR the Street Fighter 4 Standard Fight Stick... mind swaying my mind to push for the Hori? lol
Lunchbox5388 2 years ago
I got the achievement for 10 ranked wins in a row, well 21 really, but 11 ranked and 10 player matches all with this hori stick using the STOCK buttons. This just shows you how reliable this stick is. Don't believe me?
Check my gamer tag.
This is a good stick out the box, and will be even better next week....
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
Does sound pretty good. I got that achievement with my controller too BTW, As well as beating the game on Hardest. But im highly considering the EX because i heard the EX2 is slightly more difficult to swap out for Sanwa buttons.
Lunchbox5388 2 years ago
If your really into sf, hands down pick this damn stick right away. If your new to sf, and looking for a CHEAP arcade stick, then get the ex2. And yes it is more difficult to mod the ex2 than the hraps.
Iuno much about the madcrapz fight stick, but people have been complaining about some faulty sticks...sucks to be them.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
What type of sanwa buttons and where can you buy em? Are you going to keep the same color scheme too?
Sid629 2 years ago
if you paid close attention to the vid, I said I was going to get my buttons from Lizard Lick.
The hori buttons simply are Too stiff for me.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
Can you give a hint on what your color scheme will be? I'm thinkin about gettin 8 green ones. There's also the old throw back to the Street Fighter II scheme which is red white and blue - whaddya think of that? Another choice would be to follow the current scheme and get 6 white and two black/grey as well as get a white knob.
Sid629 2 years ago
Ocean blitz Disco Flash.
YOSHiCAM112 2 years ago
I just ordered one of these after returning that garbage control pad that MadCatz made from SF4. Normally you have to play the game you bought the controller for before you know if it is garbage or not. Not the case with that crap!

Yeah, me and mannyd had a long convo about the Madcatz issue. I convinced him to come to the Hori side with me!
