  • Young voters = the worst type of voters

  • Nothing more to say except: I don't deal in absolutes. Absolute statements invariably expose severe ignorance and an inability to appreciate the far, far-reaching consequences of acting on them. I could honestly interpret some of this stuff to mean we shouldn't have a military or public health care or scientific research funding. All because someone has a specific concept of what someone deserves. There is clearly nothing more that can be said on either side.

  • I'm glad that young people don't vote. I thought socialism was the way when I was younger...

It wasn't until I moved to Alberta, started making over $100k a year by working 60 hours a week did I realize, "Why should I pay for some slacker that doesn't want to work, when I'm out in the middle of nowhere, away from my family and friends busting my hump???"

For you NDP fanboys: Get a real job and you'll understand.

For you Liberal fanboys: I don't even know where to start! LOL

  • @EruditeCanadian Because sometimes they're not slackers. If your opinion is based on putting someone down, I suggest you rethink it.

  • @capefeather

Think about it. How many Conservative special interest groups are there on the dole? Compare that to Left wing special interest groups; gay groups, feminist groups, women's groups, aboriginal groups, the list goes on and on and on forever! All of them screaming for handouts!

Conservative = I don't need help, I'll do it myself

Left wing = I can't do it! I need help! I need government funding! We need to tax Conservatives more because it isn't fair they are successful! (*Sob*)

  • @EruditeCanadian nice non sequitur

  • @capefeather

No non sequitur at all. Most of the special interest groups I mentioned are slackers, as in they want to rely on government handouts instead of working for a living.

Same for my Leftie diatribe. Instead of doing what Conservatives do, they whine about it and how the government should look after them, or that rich people that work(ed) hard for their money are responsible for their(lefties) lack of success, instead of their lack of ambition or work ethic etc.

    Slackers and whiners

  • @EruditeCanadian I'm sure the Jersey Shore cast and most of the auto companies have their money now because of their ambition and work ethic, right? Surely not anything like inheritance or bailout money.

Most people's problem with the rich-vs-poor thing is not that there are rich people, but that the gap between rich and poor is getting bigger. Are you telling me that people work harder now than they did decades ago?

Repeating what you say isn't going to convince anyone.

  • @capefeather

Good point about the entertainment industry. I agree totally our system of who makes what is probably 180 degrees of what it should be. Ultimately, however, it is up to you and me who makes what.

If nobody watched Jersey Shore, the moronic cast would be back working at McDonalds, where they belong. BUT, enough of us DO watch it for the network to justify paying them what they make. It's that simple. No ratings, no jobs, no money.

  • @capefeather

And about the gap between rich and poor getting wider; that too for the most part is your and my doing as consumers. High paying manufacturing jobs have been leaving Canada for decades. Why? Because rich people close factories and more them to China? Not really.

Because "WE" consumers want cheaper and cheaper goods, and don't care where we get them from. If no one bought Asian made textiles/plastic/toys etc, domestic companies would fill the demand.

    Simple as that.

  • @EruditeCanadian So are you going to attribute success to hard work or to market forces? You can't take a hard line on one without ignoring the other. Are people being screwed over or are they not? Do people "deserve" what they get or do they not? And on what basis?

Fiscal conservatism is fine and great but some people just make it sound like there should be no taxes/government at all, other than to enforce some vague notion of morality.

  • @capefeather

Hard work is essential in order for most of us to succeed. It isn't up to the government to hold our hand and make sure we succeed "just because". No one is entitled to a job.

Regarding lost jobs/trade deficits/wage gap etc, we all deserve to get screwed, because we are all part of the problem. Every time you or I buy a good that is made in China/India/Asian we are contributing to the loss of "wealth generating" manufacturing jobs. We are also shipping wealth out of the country

  • lol, no one here has asserted any of the things you've criticized. You're just repeating your same assumptions over and over. You're just stating that entire groups of people are slackers, based on your own life. Do you have any idea how backwards that sounds? And your response is to blame the foreigners? Protectionism seems pretty left-wing to me...

Did you know that less than a century ago, women weren't considered people, and Asians were arbitrarily sent to prison camps?

  • @capefeather

The left constantly blame everything and everybody else for they way things are, when really they are the problem. But, instead of changing things, they whine about how the government needs to mollycoddle them.

I'm not protectionist at all. Protectionism implies government intervention like tariffs. I promote Canadian's giving a shit about their fellow Canadians and buying from their neighbour instead of from China.

  • @EruditeCanadian

I also don't blame foreigners for anything. It's Canadians that are choosing to buy Chinese lead-cadmium toys or melamine milk instead of good quality Canadian products. It's the same people whining about the rich getting richer, that are making the rich richer.

Same for immigrants. An Indian moves 10,000kms for a good job in Fort McMurray, but an unemployed Ontarian won't? But whines that he can't find a job!

I'd take the Indian over the whiney bitch!

  • It's equivalent, you're expecting the consumer to do what the government would usually force to happen by imposing a tariff. You're just cherrypicking examples to claim that consumers can just resist market forces.

There is a cost to entering any job market and *gasp* not everybody can incur it. For a fresh university graduate, moving 10,000kms for a good job in Fort McMurray might be a fatal risk. And that's not even getting into people disadvantaged by a host of other things.

  • @capefeather

It's not equivalent at all. The left claims that the government needs to do this and do that, tax these people more, give those people more handouts, when really the government shouldn't be involved at all. One thing governments are good at is screwing things up, Liberal or Conservative.

I left Ontario for Ft. McMurray with a couple hundred bucks and maxed credit cards. Within 2 years I was making 4X more than I did in ON. A risk worth taking.

  • Don't you tire of repeating the same thing?

A success does not alone make a risk worth taking. Many factors go into this. Maybe you were lucky. This is basic statistics.

There are certain groups of people (e.g. Aboriginals) who can't crawl out of their situations. You don't know why, so you assume they're slackers. I'll remind you that that is my beef with what you're saying. Maybe not all of these interest groups are legitimate, but many are. Reality is complicated.

  • "Some people are "disadvantaged" enough that they REALLY can't, but not most."

Yeah sure, try going back to that when you've specifically pointed out women/gay/aboriginal groups. Discrimination against these people is real. You can't seriously tell me that no one considers the fact that a woman might go on paid maternal leave. You're not any of these people. How can you claim to relate to them, never mind outright judge them?

  • @capefeather

I don't judge them, I just don't see how they are my problem. I work hard for my family. I moved away from my parents and friends to better my situation for my family. I am responsible for them, not responsible for the people you mentioned. They are responsible for themselves.

Why should I pay for them? That's what I don't like about the left. They want to reward failure and punish success.

Go to Syncrude's website. They are always looking for women and aboriginal employees.

  • "the left wants to take my money"

    "I work hard"

"I call people slackers but I'm not judging them"

Wouldn't it be better if you just copy-pasted instead of trying to come up with another way to say the same thing?

Also did you seriously just cite one example to refute me?

Your statement about the Aboriginal is simply mind-blowing. There's nothing I can say to you now until you have any appreciation for the underlying social issues. Until then you can delude yourself with your anecdotes.

  • @capefeather

Ok, sure, one example isn't much, but the fact remains. They aren't my problem. Natives, gays, womens rights groups, feminists etc.

Not my problem. Why should I and all my fellow hard working Conservatives have to pay for other peoples problems? Is it your problem that I have a gambling problem or eat too much? Is it my problem that you can't keep a job or you smoke too much?

No to either. Our problems are our own and it is up to us to solve them. Not the government's

  • Is it my problem that a child can't go to school? Is it my problem that people are sick with various diseases and funded research has to be done to save them? Is it my problem that most people need grants to afford college? Is it my problem that there are dictatorships in other places? Is it my problem that women are abused? Is it my problem that people are polluting the earth and possibly driving key organisms to extinction?

Personally, I'd rather not subscribe to absolutes.

  • @capefeather

Ultimately, no, none of those are your problem. Maybe with the exception of pollution, as it really does affect everyone.

Women being abused need to help themselves and leave their situation. Hard, yes. Impossible, no.

Education isn't really a special interest, and health care isn't really either. Both benefit all of society.

Special interest implies an interest that does not relate to the majority, but a small minority.

  • @EruditeCanadian Women and gays are small minorities?

  • @capefeather

Gays are a small minority. Womens groups don't really represent all women. In reality, they just like to whine about how hard they have it, while milking as much money out of the taxpayers as possible.

Take battered women's organizations for example: Half the population is women. Maybe half of women are married. Let's say 10% of married women get abused. So 35mil/2/2/10=875,000. That's 2.5% of the population. I would say that's special interest

  • @EruditeCanadian lol k

  • @capefeather

The other thing the left doesn't seem to understand is that the government doesn't have infinite resources. Conservatives tend to put priorities on things with tangible benefits, as the money they spend comes from tangible work.

Every dollar spent on health care or education comes back to the government and society as increased GDP or prolonged working career etc.

Making sure that gays have high self esteem, or that they can get married legally has virtually no tangible benefits.

  • @capefeather

I try to come up with different way of phrasing my argument because you dont seem to understand what I'm saying. Even if people are legitimately disadvantaged, that doesn't mean I should have to pay for them.

If you were the last person on earth, who would be responsible for you eating or having shelter?

The left's "POOR ME, POOR ME" bullshit is nauseating.

  • How is that relevant to anything... (Besides, you clearly don't understand what I'm saying, either.)

  • @capefeather

The left believes that everyone else is responsible for their problems. Their unemployment is someone else's fault, their socio-economic situation is someone else's fault.

If they were alone on earth, who could they blame for their problems? I am trying to illustrate personal responsibility to you. Obviously a concept you aren't familiar with

  • Funny, being alone on earth makes quite clear the fallacy of the absolutist statement you're making. The one human can do whatever, she'll make mistakes and should own up to them, but she can only do so much. So technically the surrounding environment can be blamed for denying her some things she wants to do. Like make friends, maybe. You can't exactly make a friend in that situation with hard work and sheer willpower. Not that any of this is relevant to anything...

  • @capefeather

Aboriginals actually have a better chance than a lot of people. I worked with a native guy in McMurray. When he went to college, all his tuition was paid for, his books and residence was also paid for. He was even given a monthly allowance to cover his living expenses. Not bad for a poor disadvantaged native kid.

Even if special interest groups are legitimate, that doesn't mean they should be on the dole. That's what charities are for.

  • @capefeather

Besides, if there are no jobs for a university grad in ON, there is no choice, is there? Move to McMurray (Or wherever is hiring) or stay unemployed.

The left constantly say "I can't, it's too hard, I need help", like you just did. Most Canadians have had it so easy, for so long they can't even differentiate between can't and don't want to. And most can, but won't or don't want to, so they don't.

Some people are "disadvantaged" enough that they REALLY can't, but not most.

  • @capefeather

Not only are we contributing to the loss of these jobs, but we are also giving the rich more of our money.

Say you're a rich business owner. To "Stay competitive" (bullshit line they always use) you close the plant down in ON, lay off 1000 workers making $50K a year and move it to China.

You now hire 1000 Chinese @ $10K per year, and import your goods into Canada at the same price as before, except now you get to keep $40 million in wages you didn't have to pay.

  • @capefeather

So now you have $40 million in the bank + profits, and 1000 Canadian workers are on the dole.

Now, say I the consumer want to buy a widget. I see Capefeather brand widget that used to be made in Canada is now imported. I put Capefeather widget back on the shelf because I don't buy Chinese made junk.

It wouldn't take long for rich business owners to realize that a smaller margin is better than no margin at all.

Ultimately, the consumer has the power, not vice versa.

  • @capefeather

Better yet, if more people got together and started co-operatives, the money would be more evenly distributed vs owner/employee companies. So instead of spending all our money on shit we don't need, save it, start a company. But, that would require the bane of the lefties existence: taking responsibility for their own actions.

It's not up to the government to mollycoddle everyone. The less power they have, the less they can be corrupted and screw things up.

  • prove to yourself harper is a conniving lyer just Google copssaylegalizedrugs

  • Just love these videos, what a fail attempt to connect with young voters. The polls don't represent Canadians eh? Well Nanos poll had it pretty close, predicting Harper may win a slim majority and guess what: Bam! Majority! I just love the left's reaction to the 2011 Canadian election.

  • Please. Conservatives. Fix the economy so these people can afford soap and shampoo!

  • @arbisea

Too bad the Conservatives don't know how to do it. Compared to the Liberals who turned a deficit into a 13 billion dollar surplus in four years, it's taken the Conservatives this long to... what? Rely on market regulations put in place by the Liberals to protect us from the Financial Crisis? To get us a 40 billion dollar deficit?

I'd really rather they not 'fix' our economy, for our economy's sake.

  • @arbisea

What is with your posting 4 times in a row?

What does Pierre Trudeau have to do with Paul Martin's government exactly? Are you saying you're glad the conservatives turned a surplus into a deficit four times in size?

  • @InexplicableHat

You do realize that Paul Martin balanced the books by viciously slashing public funding to health care and defense among others. He was not a miracle worker, he just stopped spending money.

Paul Martin also did not have to deal with the biggest economic crisis in 100 years either. Also, it was the Liberals and the NDP that forced the issue of stimulus and increased EI spending during the recession, which increased the deficit.

You can't play both sides of the fence.

  • @InexplicableHat what about all the dead soldiers from IED's who had to run ground convoys to resupply FOB's because we did not have any Chinooks. What about the 2 hour prep time for the piece of shit SAR helicopter the liberals bought because they canceled the EH-101, what about the crashed sea kings... The Liberals send our soldiers to a desert war in green camouflage... is this blood worth your 13 billion...

  • CANADA HAS FUCKING SPOKEN, SO SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • @Huskyjooser great I can't wait for four more years of that

  • I did vote.Conservative. Sayonara Losers!

  • Suck it. Conservative win. Again.

  • @flipperbaby47 with only 39.9% of the national vote.

  • @hayleybowl Only 39.9% ...How much did the Liberals get?

    18.91% ...Yeah thought so.

  • @arbisea so, that has nothing to do with the fact conservatives cleary don't have a majority of support in Canada. A Majority government should be 50% or above of the national vote .

  • @hayleybowl ...Says who? Last I heard it only required 155 seats to form a majority government.

I'm curious if you had the same sort of outburst when Chretien's razor-thin Liberal majority won in 1997...hmmm?

  • If you LUB this land. Vote with a CHECKMARK!

  • I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!!!

  • IS A TELEPHONE SOMETHING LIKE TEXTING???

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS A TELEPHONE????

  • A&W guy looks so fucked up. Put a little crack in his Root Beer. That's who I want to make a MAMA BURGER! HAHAHAHA A&W

  • About those robot calls, you can always get your number listed and you too can receive thoseawesome calls. . .

mine was actually a human this year. . .

  • Just voted!

    Against harper, for obvious reasons!

Can, someone explain to me what this video means?

    I'm soo confused.

  • That is a damn good Cheryl Merkowski, HONAYE!

  • Cheryl Merkowski Impersonator !!!!

  • good times at 0:42 :P

  • I'm a surfer riding a big Orange Wave.

  • Also, they only call weekdays from 5-9. So, us youngsters are probably away with OUR LIVES instead of waiting by our parents landline waiting to get called by a robot.

Finally, if you convinced your parents to get a landline with caller ID like I did, your family's not going to answer any unknown numbers.

  • @flipperbaby47, Harper and his big corporate buddies are just using you... can't you see that? Big corps eat small and mid-sized businesses for lunch, it's called acquisition or takeover, and it seldom goes well for the little guy. As for the rest of the outraged posters that disagree with Harper's plans for OUR country, make sure you go to the polls on monday and FIRE HIM!

  • Someone isn't watching the polls, NDP is wayyy ahead of the Liberals now. The best way to do this, if people are truly outraged at this govt, is to vote for whichever party has the best chance to take their's out.

  • NDP

    NDP

    NDP

    NDP

If you dont vote NDP you don't know Jack (Layton). This time it will be NDP. Better Layton than never.

  • i really can't take hipsters seriously. you guys in this vid need to get a job.

  • @gauguintop I can't stand generalizations and prejudice. Try not compartmentalizing into social groups like 16 year olds do in high school.

  • @gauguintop I can't stand generalizations and prejudice. Try not compartmentalising people into social groups like 16 year old girls in high school do. It's unbecoming for adults.

  • omggggg hipsters are so cool!

    wait, no they aren't.

  • I lub this land :)

  • After seeing these ads, it's a no-brainer, vote PC. How can you throw in with these D-Bags?

  • that is interesting.

if the youth vote, and if the youth have not been properly represented in the polls than manday's result maybe even more surprising.

    AA

  • Hi I'm 18 and canadian citizen

Ok so yo, I just recently got interested in this whole election thingy

    So I got one question,

Is it possible for me to register ON ELECTION DAY?

(because you were supposed to register before april 26. >_<

  • @fireshot22 yes you can register on election day at your polling place. Bring ID that shows address and name like driver's license, or other photo ID & utility bill or bank statement, etc. Everything is explained on the elections .ca site.

  • Lets teach those Fascists a lesson they will not soon forget. Monday vote NPD

  • This is absolutely true! I'm so pleased that somebody is finally pointing it out. Those of us who still have "land lines" (and actually answer them) are getting polled to death! I have personally answered three robot polls during this election, and have hung up on a couple of others. Big surprise, I am an "elder" (Never a Con, tho) I am so very proud of all the young Canadians who are participating in this election, and it pleases me very much to learn that some are wise to the Con games!

  • They should do the same thing again for the Fall election. 'm not trying to be mean or sound materialistic or stupid. But these commercials get a lot of comments about hipsters and hippies and drug addicts or whatever the fuckelse being stupid. I do not agree but you guys should get some everyday joe's and some other people like imagine a "metal" young person or a young "person" who is a model or a business kind of guy. i dont know it would be fun and appeal to more people.

  • I'm a young person and I'm going to vote conservative. Harper and the conservatives are the only ones putting forward a credible foreign policy. You (liberal/NDP) want to cancel the F-35 jets? Well that would guarantee us a seat at the children's table at the UN/NATO.... No thanks... I rather Canada have a seat at the big boys table, and have influence on world security and decisions. Liberals/NDP have their blinders on and try to ignore anything outside our borders, which is completely reckless

  • @Lavitzzz it seems to me that the only reason to have fighter jets is to use them. we dont have the population to be a military powerhouse, whatever military power we do have will be used to further another nations goals and not our own. not to mention blowing people up is a good way to make enemies, even if our cause is "just", the people being bombed will not appreciate it. not to mention if we were attacked by any military nation we would be crushed no matter how much we spent on our military

  • @Rumplefrumple - I agree, it would turn into a guerrilla war in short order as the airforce would be the first to get destroyed - domination of the skies would be the first objective. In a country as large as ours it would bankrupt us to defend it with the latest and best equipment - we'd be better off with a dozen nukes and no army.

  • @Rumplefrumple A population isn't needed to be a military powerhouse, it's a matter of superior technology which we have and should utilize. The myopic view of separating our goals from other nations goals is completely unjustified. The world is becoming more and more interconnected, and other peoples actions can directly effect our goals. Obviously when any nation takes military action the decision isn't taken lightly, but we have a responsibility to prevent genocide and maintain world security

  • @Lavitzzz oh crap, you want to police the world... and you want me to pay for it.

  • @Lavitzzz Well put.

  • @Lavitzzz

So you're for socially conservative measures. Gotchya.

  • @todanp No, I'm for anti-totalitarian and anti-genocide measures.

  • @Lavitzzz So by anti-totalitarianism you mean the way Harper wanted to rename the formally titled Canadian Government. The Harper Government? Or how he likes to keep fiscal measures hidden from other politicians and citizens? Yeah, you're SO for anti totalitarianism by voting conservative! The anti-genocide is what? Abortion? are you serious?

  • @todanp Clearly you don't understand totalitarianism when making trite remarks such as those. I don't agree with Harper on everything just as hardly anyone else agrees with a politicians views 100%, but I feel Harpers foreign policy is much more credible than the other parties and in todays world of instability foreign policy is a top rank issue. Anti-genocide is stopping places like Iraq, Libya, Bahrain, The Ivory Coast, and Syria from massacring hundreds of thousands of people....

  • @Lavitzzz I understand totalitarianism quite fine. I also understand the personality types that are capable of such operation. Someone who increasingly hides more government dealings with the press and almost laughs at other politicians when asked to reveal ongoing matters definitely fits the bill as totalitarian in thought and style. He could never be a full blown tyrant here and that is obvious. And also, where is Harper on the genocide in Africa? You think he cares? LOL

  • @todanp A tight-lipped government is no where near close to a totalitarian system or even school of thought of a totalitarian system... Many of these accusations are unsound, as the opposition parties want to break Parliament protocol to obtain information (but some of the opposition parties claims are legitimate). You are just Straw-manning his character to complete absurdity... We are stopping a genocide in Africa right now through the UN resolution 1973 in Libya.....

  • @Lavitzzz A tight-lipped government is the first step to overstepping bounds and corruption. It depends on whether you see his dealings as strategically patriotic or corrosive to democracy. I was not straw-manning his character if I am mentioning real events and things he has done. And the no fly over Libya is not what I meant by Africa (but yes you're right) but it's nothing courageous. It's an obligatory involvement there. Lets see him speak out against Israel and agree with the U.N. then.

  • @todanp I'm not a fan of the tight-lipped government, but that is besides the point as my focus is on foreign policy. At this current moment the conservatives don't have enough political capital or seats to do anything more then we are. The other parties are anti-military intervention and its a fight to be able to stay and finish our mission in Afghanistan, let alone procuring military upgrades or sending our troops to protect others in dire need. We wont have a foreign policy with the libs/ndp.

  • the NDP will destroy Canada

  • I work at a polling company... and I take offense to being called a robot... it's true the job is set up for me to be a robot, and my bosses would prefer if i shut my brain off... but I'm still fighting for my humanity... also.. the rest of the add rings true. surveys are basically bullshit.

  • get busy voting, or get busy sleeping with the sleepers.

  • Socialist scum everywhere

  • @wallillaw

Canada is a socialist country, we have socialized prisons, socialized education, socialized roads, socialized health care, socialized highways, heck even our side walks are socialized. We have socialized parks, socialized police force, a socialized court system, we have socialized retirement, Canada is socialist. I guess that is why socialists are everywhere, but if you think Canadians are scum that is your problem because we (Canadians) are socialists and we are here to stay.

  • @whiskers123 So you little prick think you can speak for over 30 million people? Most Canadians I know would love to kick your socialist ass.

  • @wallillaw

Just stating the facts. Are you willing to dispute anything I said or just use threats of violence?

  • Who do these Main Street- Neo-hippie- rock show attending- 10 speed bicycle riding- skinny jeans wearing- no hair combing-Pulp Fiction book browsing-Waldorf attending-Critical Mass-420 rally unwashed mob think they are ? Go back to Commercial Drive and read the Epoch times at the Red Burrito and leave us NWO soldiers to control things !

  • @ZaggaPooNagi I think you'd be more likely to find them riding fixed-gear bikes (or fixies) than the 10-speed variety.

  • Seriously, look around at the provinces that have elected the NDP. Look at the way they've destroyed the economies of those provinces. Ontario is STILL recovering from the Rae Days. Wake up people! we don't need 70 billion worth of new spending when we are just getting out of a recession!!!!

  • Vote Conservative on May 2 because our taxes are high enough already .

  • @hanksnow82 Vote conservative on may 2nd if you want the high tax dollars to go to absolutely nothing. But they still take it from you :) and what they take stays the same..

  • @boyswillbeb0ys The Conservatives are the only ones that have ever lowered my taxes and helped my small business . Me and my 3 employees are one of those corporations that Jack Layton hates and wants to tax the shit out of . If Harper wins i can probally hire one more person . If the NDP/ Liberals get in i will probally lay off two people .

  • @hanksnow82 Agreed. As a business owner for the last 21 years I can tell you with all certainty that there's only 1 choice for anybody that cares about small and big business in Canada. The Liberals have their filthy hands in our pockets at every turn and make business exponentially more difficult to conduct on so many levels. If we want to improve our country economically we need a PC gov't. For the first time in years, business is good and looking bright under Harper.PC majority would be great

  • @flipperbaby47 First off, there is a huge difference between the former federal PC party and Stephen Harper's Conservative party. Secondly, if you are so pro-Harper, why do you have a liberal anti-Harper ad playing as your default video on your YouTube channel? Political poe?

  • Fuck the Poles. Polish people are the worst.

  • VOTE NDP FOR FUCK SAKES

  • I wish I was hipster enough to not vote Conservative.

  • Comment removed

  • @jmbtake6 I wish you were too. Maybe you can work on that.

  • @jmbtake6 You can doooo eeeeet! Besides if you vote for the Harper Cons, you are actually voting for the Reform Party, not the Progressive Conservatives of days gone by. The Conservative Party is full of right-wing Evangelical neo-cons - think of it as voting for George Bush -didn't we laugh at the U.S. for electing him twice? Vote strategically!

  • I am going to slam my vote in the ballot box like it was a dunk in NBA JAM

    "from downtown! Booooooom-shakalala"

  • Vote SMART, which means vote smart in your riding. Just because the NDP is leading the Libs nationally doesn't mean they stand a chance in your riding, and just because the Libs are the "traditional ruling party" doesn't mean they have a chance in your riding. Vote smart against Stephen Harper.

Oh, and vote for E.May in her riding.

  • 3 people are conservative robot spies.

  • I'M SO FUCKING PUMPED TO VOTE ON MONDAY! WHO'S WITH ME!!!

  • Nice !

  • Although funny, not really true. Many of the pollsters use the internet now and they all make adjustments. I am a little suspicious of them releasing this as the NDP are passing the Liberals, which actually is what youth support. Political climate change deniers?

  • @Pinworm4 Just what do you consider "baseless claims" about the Conservatives? I ask, because I know many Harper fans who insist that the contempt ruling was baseless, that they never forged documents (ahem, Bev Oda), that they had nothing to do with G20 (which was a federal operation), that they did not try to shut down an advance poll when just hours before they boasted about it on Facebook, etc.

And we won't even get into how Harper turned a surplus into a deficit, etc.

  • @Pinworm4 haha its funny you should say that. after the national debate i went to the NDP website because I thought they might be worth a look at this time, and because of the social media buzz. However I was disappointed to find their platform just looks incomplete compared to the others. It makes me feel like they wouldn't be prepared to govern if they were given the opportunity

  • Excellent

i live in a cave and have no phone :)

  • Imma vote alright!

  • Best one yet, sharing with all my friends!

  • A polling robot called my house last night. It asked which party I would vote for on May 2nd, I hit #2 as my answer, it waited, then asked the question again. I hit #2 again. It asked the question again. I hung up. WTF.

  • Thumbs up for the robot voice.

  • "Please say the name of the party that you intend to vote for."

    "NDP."

"I heard 'The Conservative Party'. Is this correct?"

    "No."

"Thank you. Your vote for 'The Conservative Party' has been recorded."

    "FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-----"

  • @facetiousCA lol u might as well vote conservative... voting ndp is just vote splitting the liberals

  • @vkvladman lulz. I guess they showed you.

Voting for Saruman (aka Ignatieff) is never a good idea. It was obvious that he was going to hemorrhage seats from the time he spoke at the press conference following the ruling that Harper was in contempt of parliament.

  • i wish i could talk like a robot.
