I used to watch it regularly when it was on ABC. When it went to CBS, I didn't see it... until the summer of 87.

That fall, it went to syndication. So... a shout-out to those from the New York area... *TJ Hooker, weekdays at 5 on Channel 9!*

@notredamehesamighty It was the 80s! Cars were either on fire all the time, doing barrell rolls in mid air, or crashing into people's houses. LOL!

This was probably the best season of them all since it was Romano's last year of being on the show, especially with Jim Corrigan(James Darren), but this show really went downhill when Romano(Adrian Zmed)departed the show which led to TJ HOOKER's cancellation by the Summer of 1986.

Good question @jegspillerpiano, but I heard Zmed left this show to pursue other things like perhaps other roles in show business, but Zmed never got many acting gigs ever since Romano's departure from TJ HOOKER.

@a4238088 It's truly a shame that Adrian Zmed left, because part of what made the show work was his playing off of William Shatner as the "younger generation", which was the basis for plenty of humor and drama as far as the "teacher-student" relationship went.

Absolutely loved this show. I remember begging the TV-station that aired it in Norway to bring it back -- unfortunately, that never happened.

Ah well, guess I'll have to settle with a DVD-set if it even exists.

Honestly i rarely watch this show when it was on but loved the theme alot. This theme alone is way better than alot of the crap thats on tv today. In fact i havent watched tv in years.

@flares Agree with you 100%. This theme tune had the promise of action, drama, even comedy and was just damn catchy! Whoever put this opening credits sequence together with the music underlying it was a genius.
