just save into your music into a external hard drive or USB and then load your music on your new computer and go to file on itunes and load up the file where you save your music and you are ready to rock how easy is that..

That's a terrible way to do it! Think of how many disks you'd need if you had over 1000 songs - disks can only hold about 20 songs.

If you have the songs you want on your iPod, it is super easy, plug your Ipod in, and once iTunes comes up, click file in the top left, and click "Transfer Purchases from (your name)'s Ipod, just click that and it will move the songs from your ipod to your new comp, while still keeping it on your ipod as well.

don't worry too much about the number of discs. i have almost 700 songs and it only used 4 discs. it takes less space on each discs backing it up than just writing them on a disc to put in a cd player
