  • I was at this show, it was part of a four night run for the 90/91 New Year's Shows, and I flew from Miami to Oakland to see the boys rock it out. It was one of the best times of my life. I miss you Jerry.

  • Jerry's solo - that is unbelievable guitar playing... :o

  • happy birthday jerry

  • A selfish heart is trouble but a foolish heart can kiss my butt...!

Speaking wisdom like a child directly from the heart my friends...:)

  • a foolish heart is trouble but a selfish heart can kiss my butt.....!

Speaking wisdom like a child directly from the heart!:)

  • its weird cause i'm depressed tonight and i have my stub for this show....

  • I was at this show!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Jerryjeffelvis

    great! nobody cares

  • this far down the line .....after that day.....it's a true gem!!!!!

  • lackluster foolish heart...what's the best one on yout tube?

  • if you heads want a freakin strange (in a good way) show then check out 5-31-92, it has some sound issues but is out there in terms of spaciness. Phils bass on franklins tower is thunderous dropping phil bombs left and right its awesome, makes your skin move and hair stand up. Each set is solid, and I think Steve miller joins in the jamming if I remember correctly.

  • RFK '90 was an awesome version. Jerry blew a line or two, but it led into an unforgettable Dark Star. When they hit that signature intro for DS, the crowd made the loudest noise I've ever heard.

  • Sorry RFK 91 My Favorite Version. I know this is Oakland lol

  • Great Intro, Def one of the better late area Jerry Tunes. RFK 91. Love Bruce and his musical ability and Jerry knew that he was light years ahead of Vince inprovisationally as well. RIP Vince Welnick

  • @shaneomeezy and @weilllllll...

    Great Intro. Miss Brent too.

  • 4:13 is I why love the Grateful Dead

  • a-

    fuckin-

    men

  • I was there! Also say NYE show - last one.

  • calm after the storm.

  • who suspect's "majick " was in the works??

  • a great one was played in DC at RFK 19 years ago tonite, Bruce on board

  • @rockcritic Is that the one featured on one of the view from the vaults? if so that is a killer Foolish Heart!!!

I prefer Brent burning up the ivories though :-) I have so many dead tapes, so many shows, and I have to say that i like Brent's work on the keys the best with pigpen a close second. Brent was really spacey and that was cool especially if you dosed at a show, if you were at the greek theatre and heard Brent your brain would melt. Check out 8-18-89 listen to the terrapin --> drums

  • @rockcritic was there too. show was hot -- so was the temperature!!!!!

  • that's whats up

  • ha, i can still feel that shit. keep on

  • thank you for this show

  • Springtime in the Carolinas. Dig it!

  • Bruce on Piano

  • never!!!!!

  • 5- months later and you have done it again>lesson re-learned: people are seldom if ever what they seem!!! Dare to leap- where the angels fear to tread till you are torn apart... why does everything i love dissapear?

  • Thanks for sharing, I am working on Friend of the Devil, acoustic guitar and mandolin.

  • Paint the Mona Lisa with a spraycan, call it art, but never........EVER give your love, my friend, a friend a foolish heart.

You better not. I'll kick your ass.

  • This is awesome. I can't believe it's been 18 years since this show. I was just a kid on the lot.Now i'm an old kid. Thank you Jerry. This newer song at the time was always one of my faves. It was better with Brent though. Sorry Vince.RIP to you all.

  • @1bruce66 bite me

  • @1bruce66 Brent was freaking awesome...

  • Like the video says, "never give your love (my friend) to a foolish heart"!

  • Purple haze all round my head!

  • i missed the 27th because of a delayed flight from the east coast...burned two mail order tickets in my pocket on the runway...this show, i took my older brother who had never seen jerry...here's the best part, i had no tix for new year's eve(the usual case,as only the lucky were granted mail order new year's tixs)and some tall guy in the parking lot handed me a laminate for free...needless to say, i kicked it back stage w/ bill walton for a bit...

  • its funny how the world just works out if you have the right mindset

  • thank you!
