Your journals are gorgeous - very inspiring! thankyou so much for sharing your ideas and technique tips. I'm going to use all old fabrics from my life (like from old dresses) to make a sort of memory journal.
Really pretty ...I did something similar before I saw this only I put a piece of cardboard in between the two sides to make it hardback. Your stitches are a little simplistic...you could try learning a couple of new ones so that the random one do not look like that on the back side. Sharon B's embroidery stitches has a dictionary full of various ones you could try. I've learned a lot from that site alone.
Wonderful work I.absolutely have to try your technique. Already started some pillows. Was wondering the approximate size of the front cover?. I too love fabric, I have been a quilter for the last 4 years. Therefore all beds have quilts even family and friends have quilts for their beds. This is the perfect next step.Thank you.......for sharing your talent....
WoW going to my studio today and going thru my scraps to make a bunch of these little squares to take with me on vacation next month, thanks for these videos, you are awesome!
Teesha, you are so amazing! Love these journals. Now I know why I've saved all those scraps from when I used to make clothes for my kids! What fun to make a altered memory journal for them with the scraps. I also appreciate your free creative spirit. It helps me to actually start on your projects and not get hung up on doing it "right". You are a gift to the creative community!
Thank you Teesha - I just finished watching all of the videos and am so excited to try this. I'll be leaving on a trip to Europe soon and this will be the perfect project to take on a long flight. Thanks again. Hugs.
These videos are so good, thank you so much for sharing your technique. You have a way of encouraging experimentation that is refreshing, look forward to watching more of your videos
This is so great. Thank you for sharing your technique. I like the idea of hand stitching these little pillows while watching a tv show. Thanks again.
These journals are FABULOUS!!! A blend of everything I love working with. A good supply of pillows and thread in your purse ready to make use of anytime you are stuck waiting for Dr visits, etc. is a great idea.
I am grateful for your generousity in sharing your talent with all of us. Thank You
Thank you very much for your generousity!! Thank you for this tutorial, i really love all the fabrics that you use for your journals. gotta try this! July ;)
Thank you! I have already made my first little quilt square! I am curious about a couple of things, though. How do you print on muslin? Also, where did you get all those cute buttons with the various pictures on them?
Your books are beautiful and inspiring :)
