  • dude, how much do you want for it?

and is it also a midi (USB) controller or does it in have to have an input?

  • Maybe it seems clunky and non-musical to you, but I don't see the point of being a negative ass about it.

People who get off of their butt and make cool stuff shouldn't give two shakes about the uninformed opinions of people who just have 'ideas." Ideas are beyond cheap... execution is priceless. Your opinion means dick-shit-nothing until you execute and make something better.

  • thanks man!

  • That is way cool lars.

  • dig it !

  • thank you!

  • This is great! Would like to hear a song :]

    has it also a midi in/out ?

  • Midi out, no sounds so no midi in :)

  • It does make your eyes pop. If music hardware companies know what is good for them, they will hire you right about now.

  • Thank you!

  • cool, sounds very 8-bit :)

One thing though, some of your modes had no echo at all, while some had way too much. I don't know if that's the instrument or the soundboard, but to make it pleasing to listen to, you may want to look into that.

Actually, that last mode definately sounded the best.

    Keep the tech rocking!

  • All the sounds are from the microkorg, the DIYtar is only a controller. It produces no sound.

  • Ahhh, midi control, should've known that.

Well, I couldn't really tell from the video, but is there a string on the neck already? if so you could probably put on one of those wave meter things and have that control either the volume or the vibrato (vibrato is leaning more towards keytar, volume is leaning towards guitar), adn I'm talking measuring the amplitude of the string's wave pattern here.

    Just an idea ;)

  • There are no strings but the softPot's I mention. I can have either of them control whatever I want. So volume could be done, but the key's are velocity sensitive (even if the synth engine in the microKorg isn't)

The softpots are 500mm long potentiometers that sense where you apply preassure rather then moving a handle up and down.

  • Cool, I like it. Well, when you get an update on this, be sure to post another video ;)

  • synth engine in MK is. it's just no presets use it i think.
