gaming is turning into something else is not about gamers or fanboys or developers is something else. dlc is charge as a physical copy, games are 60 bucks and up, online passes killed the chances for buying use cheap games,o and game are shorter and easier (some)and if you want to expand the game you need to pay and extra fee, and developers are not benefiting from this nor gamers but who? i loved games but there is some much hate between people and consumerism is just the cause

@DialgaMarine3 Thats cool, I own both consoles as well, I did have the 360 first, then got ps3, then 360 rrod so got the slim. Ive been a huge PS fan for the last decade, ps1 and ps2 got tonnes of games on both, but ps3 for me, is seriously flawed, or at least it was for a good 3-4 years after release, in terms of price, games, gaming experience, controls, online. I get all my multiplats on 360 i feel the controller is better, online better, achievements in all the games, not a sloppy port etc
@DialgaMarine3 I wish I could like the ps3 more, I really still try to get into it more and convince myself somehow but can't seem to switch back to PS. The mandatory installs, the sloppy graphical ports, the sub hd rockstar games, the slippy triggers and analogues, no in game music, no x-game chat, not truskill matching, slow in game xmb, no instant access to trophies when earned, no backward compatibility, slower wifi, no trophies in early games, awkward psn, the whole experience is irritating

@SXGi1b0 Actually, the Dreamcast was fairly relevant for the fact that it basically started up new trends in console gaming that may not have existed today, if not for it. Dreamcast had some great games, some of which are still being played to this day. When I says sales mean nothing, I mean they mean nothing. Just because 10 million people didn't buy Uncharted 2, doesn't mean it's not one of the greatest TPS titles ever created. Gamecube also had some great games, btw.

Why do people think that a game is "realistic" because it's graphics are monochrome, and have a high polygon count and top of the line shader quality and bloom. I'm a Wii fanboy, I guess, because I prefer Nintendo's colorful aesthetic style to Captain Gray-Brown-Loads-of-Bloom. However, I do understand that most of the THIRD PARTY games on the Wii really, really, really, suck, and I'm open to admitting that. But on the other hand, the FIRST PARTY Wii games are gems that will stand up above Halo and, even, to an extend the Metal Gear/Solid Series, even though it's my favorite game series ever, right next to Zelda. Point is that Shitbox fans have to use Metacritic scores as an excuse for why 360 games are good, when a vast majority of 360 exclusives are complete shit.

@HockeyDude2333 You can fix certain glitches, but you can't update the engine through a patch. Either, the Cryengine 3 sucks, or Crytek didn't use the cell processor right. My point wasn't that they were terrible period. It was that alot of PS3 exclusives like Killzone 3, Uncharted 2, and God of War 3 beat Crysis 2 graphics, hands down. Their terrible because they're far from what Crytek hyped them up to be.

There were problems in that year with Halo 3 disconnecting players and causing problems but that was due to their server problems and wasn't anything serious like losing account information and credit card details.
So I was wrong about the downtime comment. It went down in Christmas 2007 for a number of days due to the new influx of consoles being connect and we were given a free gift as an apology. Hacked? What a load of bollocks.
@Bodyguard599 A network doesn't shut down for 13 days due to too much traffic. It would have been down a day at the most. It was a major Halo 3 hack that affected XBL. What happened? M$ came back with a bigger and stronger network. Sony will do the same.

Noones CC info was because it heavily encrypted, just like it is with PSN. Sony and the CC companies have already released a statement that there's no evidence of CC info being stolen, meaning the hackers didn't get to it.

Ive been a huge PS fan for the last decade, ps1 and ps2 got tonnes of games on both, but ps3 for me, is seriously flawed, or at least it was for a good 3-4 years after release, in terms of price, games, gaming experience, controls, online. I get all my multiplats on 360 i feel the controller is better, online better, achievements in all the games, not a sloppy port etc

The mandatory installs, the sloppy graphical ports, the sub hd rockstar games, the slippy triggers and analogues, no in game music, no x-game chat, not truskill matching, slow in game xmb, no instant access to trophies when earned, no backward compatibility, slower wifi, no trophies in early games, awkward psn, the whole experience is irritating

Are you going to tell that a game like Shadow of the Collossus has no relevancy in gaming, simply because it didn't sell 10 million? Last time I checked, it only sold around 1 million, but is renowned as one of the best games of all time.

@SXGi1b0 Actually, the Dreamcast was fairly relevant for the fact that it basically started up new trends in console gaming that may not have existed today, if not for it. Dreamcast had some great games, some of which are still being played to this day. When I says sales mean nothing, I mean they mean nothing. Just because 10 million people didn't buy Uncharted 2, doesn't mean it's not one of the greatest TPS titles ever created. Gamecube also had some great games, btw.

While I have to agree to very few of these topics, but you cant really say shit because both 360 and PS3 consoles have positives and negatives.

Why do people think that a game is "realistic" because it's graphics are monochrome, and have a high polygon count and top of the line shader quality and bloom. I'm a Wii fanboy, I guess, because I prefer Nintendo's colorful aesthetic style to Captain Gray-Brown-Loads-of-Bloom. However, I do understand that most of the THIRD PARTY games on the Wii really, really, really, suck, and I'm open to admitting that. But on the other hand, the FIRST PARTY Wii games are gems that will stand up above Halo and, even, to an extend the Metal Gear/Solid Series, even though it's my favorite game series ever, right next to Zelda. Fact: Xbox 360 was jailbroken 2 days after it's release. PS3 was jailbroken 5 years after it's release, and that's only because Sony changed it's OS. You had one bad experience with Sony. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes whenever I call them, so you're experience is random and unfortunate.

@TheRedemptionRain For certain games, yes. But most PS3 exclusives have poor Metacritic scores because 90% of the sites used show obvious Bias towards the PS3. Either way, not my point. Point is that Shitbox fans have to use Metacritic scores as an excuse for why 360 games are good, when a vast majority of 360 exclusives are complete shit.

@DialgaMarine3 Not really, Uncharted1 and 2, MGS4, Heavy Rain, Killzone2, LBP, LBP2, God of War 3, and much much more have scores 90 and up, games like Demon Souls, InFamous 1 and 2, Killzone 3, Resistance 1 and 2, Gran Turismo 5, and etc. have decent mid 80s and up scores, I have never heard of a PS3 fanboy complaining about Metacrtic scores, hell we have more exclusives than Xbots

@DialgaMarine3 no they don't.They get good review scores.I don't think that critics are biased towards platforms,except for Edge,Gamepro and especially Thunderbolt.I think they're biased towards mainstream games or big name developers such as valve.

Who cares? Each system has it's own drawbacks as well as its own benefits, I don't understand the point in constantly trying to belittle the other system because you don't necessarily like it. ok, well u make some very good points, but im thinking every consoles fanboys are about just as bad as the other, if u have a console play it, but dont try to inforce your idea on other people. i love both xbox 360 and ps3, i can see the good in both. i dont have a ps3 now at the moment just an xbox, but still i hope ps3 owners get there PSN back cuz i know its no fun. @HockeyDude2333 You can fix certain glitches, but you can't update the engine through a patch. Either, the Cryengine 3 sucks, or Crytek didn't use the cell processor right. My point wasn't that they were terrible period. It was that alot of PS3 exclusives like Killzone 3, Uncharted 2, and God of War 3 beat Crysis 2 graphics, hands down. Their terrible because they're far from what Crytek hyped them up to be.

There were problems in that year with Halo 3 disconnecting players and causing problems but that was due to their server problems and wasn't anything serious like losing account information and credit card details.

So I was wrong about the downtime comment. It went down in Christmas 2007 for a number of days due to the new influx of consoles being connect and we were given a free gift as an apology. Hacked? What a load of bollocks.

@Bodyguard599 A network doesn't shut down for 13 days due to too much traffic. It would have been down a day at the most. It was a major Halo 3 hack that affected XBL. What happened? M$ came back with a bigger and stronger network. Sony will do the same.

@Bodyguard599 I'm guessing you forgot about 2007, right after Halo came out, when XBL was hacked and shut down for 13 days. Remember that? Noones CC info was because it heavily encrypted, just like it is with PSN. Sony and the CC companies have already released a statement that there's no evidence of CC info being stolen, meaning the hackers didn't get to it.

@DialgaMarine3 What a moron. The servers had problems coping with the amount of players on the Halo 3 servers and had to shut down the servers due to problems, not because of "hacking". People did lose money and if you bothered to search the internet you'll see that is true. Oh and because Sony say's nothing happened it must obviously mean they're telling the truth?
