I've seen many alternative engine designs over the years, but I have to say this one is the most promising, and highly innovative using fairly conventional methods. Hope they get partners and can really get something going.

And how about the engine lubrication? There is no problem with that because the pistons are placed horizontally?

What is the capacity and the power of the engine?

Jerking piston up and down or jerking it back and forth should bidirectionally then it is smooth. However, the concept of piston itself is very old. The combustion should simply push the core shaft turning with computed ignition.
