I remember way back in 1998 when I first started watching this show, and this rap was spread out at the end of each episode, meaning that to hear the entire rap, I had to listen to each segment at the end of each episode, so every five episodes, I got to hear the whole rap. I had to memorize the original 150 without a Youtube video or lyrics. And almost 14 years later, I still have it memorized.

@TheGamesAreReel It's quite easy some are derived from their elements in Japanese for instance the Rai in Raichu means Lightning. (and I might be mistaken but chu can be the sound a mouse produces (and Raichu is said to be a mouse pokemon if I'm not mistaken) Other pokemon just represent their name in reverse. For instance: Ekans is Snake in reverse Arboc is Cobra in reverse Muc is ...... That's how a lot of em work :D
