I love the "wail of the damned" thing going on in the background. Makes the song sound like asylum ambience, or maybe the Cosmic Microwave Background for the romantic astrophysics-inclined people like myself.
as i played this, my dogs started circling with a rampant look in their eyes, the way the sharks circle a boat before they go for the kill. well done sir
@bosametal Periphery are in a slightly different area to these guys. I agree they're violent and have a powerfulk feel to them. But their vocalist is trying to sound like meshuggahs and meshuggah were first on scene. So you know.
@darmstrongx92 he says that because meshuggah spawn about a million new and really really good bands with a similar sound. some of them are even miles ahead of meshuggah. bands like periphery (probably the best one of all) animals as leaders, textures, fellsilent, cloudkicker, tesseract, circles, and many others.
@masterd000 im just saying with bulb and animals as leaders running what was originally meshuggahs world if meshuggahs next aulbum doesnt blow them away they will no longer be as interesting to listen to thomas better star thinking hard
Meshuggah was ahead of the curve for 20 years... i dont think any of these new "djent" bands are really even close to what musical ferocity Meshuggah uneashes.
@rage1331 while i love meshuggah as well, it's not like they're always going to be the best or heaviest djent band. some of meshuggah is pretty mediocre in my humble opinion.
i just jizzed. everywhere. fuck. you owe me a new keyboard. goddamn it. going to try to clean this up with Q-Tips, but i really don't think it's going to work. fuck dude. fuck this song. it's too amazing.

if I was stuck at a summer camp and had an insane murderer running around, this would be the soundtrack to my turmoil.
