I like to point to the text in Matthew 27:51 and 52 which prove Catholic doctrine to be accurate as well. You do well, Deacon John, to mention that God is not fixed in time; that is the essential issue. God cannot be limited. He is the Alpha and the Omega. Good Job, Keep Going!
Thanks Father. Did you notice the Harry Potter book leaning against the lamp in the segment about necromancy? It was only there in that scene... kind of artsy huh? I think it's important to have fun while doing this stuff, don't you?
Whoa, you are good. To be honest I did not see the book at first, but upon looking at it again, not only did I see it, I saw how it disappears when you finish talking about Necromancy. Great Stuff.
Yeah, Deacon, I've got a question. Is it Ok if Catholic Christians read Harry Potter? Because a lot of other religions are against it, and I personally am a fan, and Catholic, so I'm wondering if it's OK to read HP? Thanks!
MC, With regard to Harry Potter, opinion is split among the laity in the Catholic Church, and the magisterium has given no definitive word at this time. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with reading fantasy stories, but as the saying goes, "Don't try any of this at home". In the last book, doesn't Harry give up his life for his friends? and doesn't his power derive from the fact that he is capable of love?
If, for instance, the Vatican thought it was dangerous, I'm sure we would have received some direction in this matter. Their silence indicates, (as I think), this is probably not something to worry about.
Great teaching. Stepping out of my finite conception of time in prayer is my effort to be "in the world but not of it". There is a great peace that remains with me, surfacing when I need it most. I have found that prayer to a saint asking for intercession is not a prayer of adoration, but rather like talking to a caring friend who has the ear of God. The intercession of Our Lady is especially powerful. Good job with this video Deacon John. I think God is blessing your work.
Thanks for sharing. Praise be to God always.

Yeah, I'm for Harry Potter, but it's only that I was wondering how the Catholic church views it. Thanks and did you enjoy the book?
