  • This reminds me of that Impossibles cartoon. Fluid man, Multi Man Coil Man

  • What ever happen to this band???

  • @kissmusiclover LOL! Nice one!

(In case you're serious, they changed their name to Creedence Clearwater Revival.)

  • Golliwogs had a hit break out in 1966 or so.."Brown eyed girl".. The rest is history..

But I never heard this one, so Thanks again!

  • It was so long ago I don't remember the year, but a bunch of us from high school went down to a local (Concord, CA) televised "dance-party" type show just to get on TV. The Golliwogs were the live band. They were wearing wierd Beatle wigs.

  • I've been a huge CCR fan forever and I just discovered this! It's fantastic!

  • awesome sound and song!!! damn love it!!!!

  • I'm looking for the lyrics. Can someone help me?

  • John Fogerty before CCR!quite british invasion-esque

  • Best Golliwogs tune! I can see why they didn't release it as a single cause it has a bit of a sour tone compared to most of their other songs but god damn this rules!

  • ♫ Try Try Try ♫

  • the Golliwogs were fab-gear.

  • Anyone know the exact years this song was released?

Also does anyone have another song by them called Shouldn't I Be With You?

  • The song was recorded in February 1966, but was never released until 2001.

The other song you mean is "Call It Pretending" from October 1967.

  • Sounds like they were playing solid state amps like they did with Credence. . . tuck and roll Kustom amps. One of the only groups to get a personal lead sound from a solid state circuit. It really became part of the Credence sound. I am a tube amp guy as are most players.

  • This remembers me of Cry Cry Cry by the Gollywogs, have you ever heard it?...lol.. :)

  • ?????,lol

  • *reminds...lol...(my english is terrible)...

  • I understood the meaning anyway ;)

  • like that..good tune..love it!

  • Cheers mate, it reminds me in some parts of the Zombies.

  • I hear the Zombies sound too

  • I remember when i hear the golliwogs from the disk nuggets very good band

    saludos from Argentina

  • Yes Scorpio Records Story, but this one is from another source. John Fogerty rules!!

  • wow golly ! Golly ? almost like Golly !! luv it . thanks :))
