  • God saved the Queen!!! 1755 should have sent them all packing, to Louisiana, maybe or at least to Quebec.

  • @rock853okg Idiot.

  • Canada should have always been French!

  • @Murtezahasan1 Are you fuckin' kidding me you stupid Frenchman. I live in NB, where it is 65 English and 35 French. Fucking Robichaud that proclaimed NB bilingual. Just made it worse for people who are Eng in the age bracket of 38-50. Try getting a job in this prov if you are Eng only. But yet, you have every bo-hunk from Tracadie, Edm., Camp, etc, who can barely get by Eng, but yet they get the jobs and at the same time they have no experience whatsoever.Me has exp, no jobs.

  • l'Acadie? lol ha oui j'oubliais ^^

  • !m acadian, I live in an acadian village, I go to an acadian school, I speak like an acadian, it's a sad fact that we got deported. I'm proud to be half acadian (or french) and also I know it might sound weird coming from an acadian but, I'm proud to be half british aswell.

  • Quel est le titre?

  • @VandeeArmagnac Le titre est Ave Maris Stella.

  • @VandeeArmagnac Ave Stella Marie

  • What is the difference between quebecoise and acadian language?

  • @Antralian Well Acadian french is closer to old french and has been more influenced by english then Quebec french. Apart from that there is prononciation. But in general they are pretty closely linked.

  • @Antralian accent

  • My Acadian-French ancestors lived in Upstate New York. Long live French America!

  • Hello how to do take Video with Fraps ?? Camstudio ? other plz says me that :p

  • I'm French and i don't even know this anthem . what a beautiful anthem !!

  • @jeffkodiac this is the acadian/cajun anthem the cajuns/acadians were french settlers that settled in north america but were kicked out by the british so they stuck around in louisiana.

  • @kyuubisharinan3296

"kicked out by the british " Not really a part of America was still French after the Seven years War , and after the French helped the American to kick the ass of the British in American war of independence .

  • Comment removed

  • @jeffkodiac are you well Jeff?Ca va ?

  • Vive L'Acadie!

  • Isn´t this supposed to be the same as the hymn "Ave Maris Stella"? I can't hear any similarity, to be honest.

By the way, where do you get all those beauiful images of waving flags? Do you make them yourself?

  • Sorry, no offense intended, but where is Acadia?

  • @Kamfrenchie Regions in New-Brunswick, Nova Scotia ,Prince Edward Island and Gaspe coast(Quebec)

  • VIVE! LIBRE! ANDE'

  • Long live Lacey Chabert!

  • I agree with CylonAndrew.. The Acadian empire... the world would be a better place.

My father was an Acadian from Cheticamp, Cape Breton. I visited cousins there back in 2001 and came to love everything about it. I want to go back.

As for the acadian Empire..I could start in Atlanta and work my way northward.. sounds like a plan!

  • Long live united Canada! No to Acadia! Great Britain did the only sensible thing in dispersing the Frenchies.

  • @Purplecatsoup30 That was rude....

  • @Purplecatsoup30 .. no to Acadie?? Acadie is more legitimate than a confederation without sense of Identity... and were not the anglo-saxons invaders on those lands?? Saying no to Acadie is senseless.... and Canada is a confederation, not a nation, but that is only my opinion, cheers.

  • @Purplecatsoup30 oh so logical,if your related to hitler

  • Ils se sont pas foulés pour trouver le drapeau. x)

  • Not that I'm dismissing the significance of the Acadien flag. As a matter of interest there is a relatively small region of Newfoundland where the flag flys, the Acadien Village its referred to, although it really consists of a good few villages, on Newfoundland's most westernly sector. I'm from the Irish shore of the Island, but I am currently residing in the area, the people here are very attached to it.

  • @ AcadieNow, this is not the oldest flag in use within Canada, it's close, but the Newfoundland Tri-Colour has been flown since 1843. You could agure that Newfoundland wasn't part of Canada until 1949 though I suppose.

  • @BrichWood Interesting!!!, I need to look into that flag. So yes... that would make the Canadian connection shorter for that flag.. but, maybe that not at all relevant.. afterall... Acadians were never consulted when the confederation was formed.

  • LONGUE VIE A L'ACADIE!!!!!!!11

  • This is also the oldest flag still in use in Canada, it was adopted at Miscouche Prince Edward Island 1884 if I am not mistaken.

    All rise indeed!

  • All rise!

  • Vive l'Acadie !

  • LONG LIVE A FREE ACADIA!!!!

    I AM ACADIAN!

Lets build the Acadian empire. First we will take Quebec, then the rest of Canada, then the United States and Mexico. Then Europ and Australia. Then The world!

As if that will ever happen...

  • @CylonAndrew

-i thought you guys were dead.

  • @tictactoechicken123 nope. it would seem many Acadians are, somehow, very much alive. after the mass deportation, many went to france, haiti, and louisiana (thus becoming cajuns, a corruption of acadian)

  • @CylonAndrew - Good luck on that. It will NEVER happen!

  • @CylonAndrew take gagetown for starters lol

  • @CylonAndrew lol

  • @CylonAndrew The Quebec Empire will unite all French peoples.

  • @CylonAndrew if only that would happen.

  • @CylonAndrew ONE DAY, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS, IT WILL COME TRUE....maybe... :(

  • @CylonAndrew I'm working on it! We should start with Maine.

  • Boo!! There's more red than blue in the flag!!! Goddamn commies!!

Kidding aside, I've always held to the belief that a country whose flag is has red must be have an equal amount of blue. Otherwise, it's commie.

  • They are three equal parts of red, white and blue. Maybe the waving makes it not seem so

  • The Tricolour represents the Motherland of the Acadians. The yellow star, the Stella Maris, is the symbol of Mary, Acadian national symbol and patron of the mariners. It is set on the blue stripe, because blue is the colour of Mary. The yellow colour of the star represents the Papacy.

  • If you feel like learning something, the star represents the virgin mary, and it is yellow because it is the color of the pope. If you have a religious-enclined flag, you can't be farther away from communism than that...

  • but as i have readed it was a colony of a colony , but as u said being semi-independent , but was colony of france right? , and what do u want to say with swear allegiance to the king of england if they were in fact acadian frenchs

  • when acadia ceased to exist?

  • 1713 when they were annexed and 1755 When they were expelled for refusing to swear allegiance to the King of England.

Acadia was a semi-independent colony with its own unique culture spanning 200 years.

  • People Like to talk about Acadia in terms of the past, but don't forget that Acadian History never stopped, because there is still an Acadian Society... the deportation did not really work, but it condemned the Acadians to live as a minority on their own homeland.

  • where is acadia? in france?

  • No , in North America (USA) !

but the french love this country inhabited by the French descandants !

  • aha, tnx! than quebec

  • Acadia were the territories colonized by France in North America, in the St Lawrece gulf. Today this territories are: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and the peninsula of Gaspe (Quebec). The french colonists were expelled to the north (Gaspe and the north of New Brunswick) by the brithish.

  • Actually, the plan was to subdivide them and throw them in little groups in the 13 british colonies.... it did not work, some escaped deportation and migrated to the regions you mention... many that were deported later regrouped in Louisiana (Cajuns are Acadians).

  • Canada

  • I am a proud Acadian!!!

  • The canadians French :) like quebec

  • No, Acadia is more like New Brunswick, home of Donat LaCroix, who sings much about it!! "Viens voir l'Acadie," is only one of his many beautiful compositions!

Wikipedia: Acadia (in the French language Acadie) was the name given to lands in a portion of the French colonial empire in northeastern North America that included parts of eastern Quebec, the Maritime provinces, and modern-day New England, stretching as far south as Philadelphia.

It is beautiful country, extremely panoramic!

  • The acadian is french !
