i remember coming up with this exact concept when i was in 4 grade!! except it was for measuring plate tectonics. im in aw at the moment but i guess i shouldn't be surprised that someone else developed a similar idea.

@VmanLee That's really forward thinking of you. What would you have mounted your cantilever on? Nowadays this is done through GPS.

thats epic. Really puts our perception of time into perspective. A glacier is still so quick by geological standards.

nope, it wont fall, teh possibility if it falling ish about teh same as if u sit under a wooden hut n waiting for it to fall onto itself, which is pretty low on average... *emphasize average*
