i lived in jp for 4.5 years and i only saw illegal racing about..hm...200 times. if you know where to go, then of course you can find great deals on anything from supras that still have 30K on the clock to r34 gtr skylines with 900hp. it's all about being a foreigner though...as a white man in a yellow land, you will NEVER become one of them. there are lots of foreigners there who start their own racing scenes, but punishment can be jail, and then you never know when you will get out...

I say this in an unbiased way, because I know for a fact that you can tune the shit out of a Supra but you can do the same shit with a Camaro, and give it even more because the engines are more durable and can handle more nitrous. Turbos only go so far when you can add them to V8s as well.

Hard to believe someone with vocabulary like that. Nitrous does indeed wear down a block over time, you have that right. As for weight, you should compare a 300ZX to a Camaro some time. I think you'll find they don't weight that different. The LS1 inside of last gen F Bodies was a magnificent engine. Either way a twin turbo Camaro or Mustang would be quite a sight on a highway versus any Supra or Skyline you could throw against it. Do some research.

Tuning does indeed play a part in any great motor. I seriously doubt you could make a Smart car as fast as a Ferrari by the way. You lack displacement and a proper frame to work with. As for a twin turbo V8 versus a smaller block Japanese engine, yes. You would lose. You can tune something all day but if you apply the same about of time and effort to an engine with more displacement, simple math takes over and clearly shows that the larger engine is faster.
