Who would have thought that would work so F'n well. I do stuff like this for fun at work but using something totally different like this is just genius!!! Amazing marriage of the song and video. Its almost as if the director was listening to this song while he had his editor cut this trailer. Nice find.
I would have enjoyed your "mashup " a bit more if you hadn't shared your keen knowledge: "This is a parody that makes commentary on recent news events and the recycling of our media culture." Really!?
Wondering how youtube blocked my video so fast, but does not seem to care about your video. Did they only search the title? And you have no tags. I'll try that.
This is neat and everything, but I don't believe it's parody. It's a little too easy to mash two things together and claim there's criticism at work simply by their being together. I can't very well pair Oingo Boingo's "Capitalism" with footage of the Exxon Valdez disaster and the Enron scandal and call it an artistic commentary, now can I?
That having been said, again, neat, good job and whatnot.
I admit I was in a bit of a foul and pedantic mood this morning, and was rather snotty.
haha
I guess I'm very intruiged by the subject of remixing and sampling, since it's something I do so much myself. From music to film, I'm constantly usings others work as a starting point and making my spin on it.
People like Chris Morris do it in such a cleverer (and more insightful perhaps) way than I ever could, but I hope to think that my stuff's still entertaining
How about the fact that Michael Jackson recently died and that they are using him to make tv shows, fill in news gaps and just generally cash in on his legacy now that he is 'cool' again? What about all these recent remakes of films and other media just to make a quick buck?

I'm intruiged how this 'makes commentary on recent news events and the recycling of our media culture'
I mean, it looks cool and everything. But above and beyond that?
