Meteor Man was way ahead of its time. It was ripped off like crazy by Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and I can even see how his bullet catching scene probably inspired certain aspects of the Matrix. I saw this in theater. It rocked, and it still does.

I remember seeing this when I was 13. Other than batman, there were no superhero flicks out at the time, so this had to do. Seeing James Earl Jones trying to look hip was pretty bizarre and sad at the same time, but luther vandross as a gangster? (and a silent one at that). Truly a WTF moment in movie casting.

@cdlsoldier THAT is a funny story! I had the same problems at Baskin-Robbins...my Dad held me up to see the flavors and I saw one called Daquiri Ice, but I couldn't pronounce it. I said something like "Dary Quee Ice" and they didn't get it; they thought I wanted Dairy Queen ice cream instead! I was in tears as the dragged me out of Baskin-Robbins and took me to Dairy Queen where there's 0 selection. To this day I remember that and hate Dairy Queen!!
