  • In a sense, I'm here right now on the first time through. Normally, I'd walk, but this one is worth fighting for; hopefully, she'll understand someday why I want her...mind and body with me.

  • LOVE THE OJAYS AND ALL OF THEIR MUSIC THESE ARE SOME AMAZING AND POWERFUL BROTHERS WHO I LOVE SOME MUCH IT WAS SO SAD WHEN EDDIE LOSS BOTH OF HIS SONS GERALD AND SEAN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS WENT OUT TO THE LEVERT FAMILY. THEIR GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN.

  • eddie levert senior! wow what a voice damn! ..... this music just put u in such a place emotionally and intelectually..... you hear the intelligence in the song writer.....unlike today...... thats what missing today apart from the emotions u dont hear the intelligence.....

  • For get about ,the rest the ojays are the best group ever, lol

  • @1952twinpines Totally agree!!! I always say that they sing 'meaty" songs and the rest do milk for babies! And I'm not a baby! They are so ahead of their peers musically, lyrically! Real music for real people!

  • I LOVE THAT STATEMENT LEO55BABYBOOMER.

    LOVE WILL FIND A WAY.

  • I LOVE THE O'JAYS.

  • Brothers, admit it. When we fall in love, we become stupid, blind and spineless. Experiencing such a blissful feeling is rare and over whelming. How can one help not becoming "sprung?" Hang in there and be true to the way you were raised. Believe in a higher power, do the best you can, and no matter what...do not blame her if it doesn't work out. After all, you did and probably still do love her! Stay true to yourselves brothers and remember..."love will find a way."

  • I rather have the body then the mind lol jk

  • Been here before.

  • wow! this is the shit this is what you call for real real soul music thank you god for letting me grow up in that era where this kind of music was being made I feel so sorry for these kids today

  • this song brings back round table memories, drinking and talking shit about our men. good times good times

  • This is a great & a True Song, I'am the One Who Knows. The Soldier!

  • long live Philly Soul forever,to my very heart and soul,forever....

  • oh! oh my god what asong

  • I totally disagree with you.

  • I'm sorry I Loved JR Too

  • love it!!!

  • Rap and Hip Hop ruined and ended good music like this and I hate that we all allowed it to happen.

  • @carlanthony62 foolish boy, mainstream and media ruined good music

  • @imthemosthandsi foolish boy, technology (lack of live instruments....bands all but disappeared) and the added visual( Videos) ruined good music...this allowed the most appealing and not necessarily the most talented( the Supremes and Diana Ross for example) to be lauched into the forefront with similar acts to follow.

25 years ago my mother said she couldn't understand Rap. Now I, being a card carrying member of the Hip-Hop generation don't understand 2days. I AGREE with YOU and the other guy

  • listen to the words..haven't we all been there at some point or another...but wonderful music nonetheless

  • Back in the day when song lyrics were real!!! Good old days....

  • VERY GOOD SONG!

  • phuked up feelin'

  • on both side of the fence with this song I still love it

  • i wish i had a voice like walter williams

  • @kevinhagan17 i thought walter was & still is underrated. eddie levert gets all the shine. eddie is more outgoing, while walter is quieter...maybe thats y?

  • love, love this song!

  • She's not into you...other than the things conducive with her well-being...so be out...you'll be better off, just hurt for a little while and someone worthy will come along who loves you for you, trust me when i say this!!!!!!!!!!!

  • She was doing that 80/20 thing.....no good.

  • It's true, we all live and learn, but when another dude is involved, let her go. Forget about her,if you don't, you'll always hurt yourself or kill your self. Thats a choice that you'll have to make. Nice song......

  • muito bom

  • one of my favorites.....

  • If you've ever loved a woman the second time around, despite the fact she had another dude on the "in between", you know the risks of getting back involved with her...but damn, love don't make no sense sometimes! This is real love music, fuck the rest...

  • This song really brings those memories back. Wow

  • WoW!!! This song still gives me chills!!! When music was real music!!! These jams will last forever!!1

  • @sylart57 Me too, brings back me to a good point in my life

  • this my jam, the only song that talks about mental cheating

  • @biggs6108 Nope, it's talking about her physically screwin' around..."you told me you straightened out your life"..."when you get the urge to get down, you go to the other side of town"..."I'm the one who pays the bills. He's the one who gives you plenty thrills" ..." foolin' around"...sounds quite physical to me.

  • @sylart57 i think its referring to her mental state....u see even though she with him her mind is on someone else....her emotions are with another man

  • @ganative24 Yeah, I can see that too. I guess it's all in the eye, (or ear), of the beholder.

  • They are probably one of the best R&B groups ever. Note, I said one of the best. Quite a few more of that era.

  • This was one of the best songs of all time!! Life was good back then!

  • two people who voted against this song never been with a woman or man just satisfying themselves.

  • Memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember my mom and dad playing this song in the early 80s. I always loved it but now it has more meaning. Good music!

  • Women dont realize it fellows but we men pick up on our womens emotions and actions. Women please stop doing us men wrong ok. Please listen to these words the O'Jays r singing

  • i went home to the country and heard this song and loved..real good sangin

  • An unfortunately common situation sung in a beautiful way. It’s amazing how the pangs of life can bring about some of the greatest songs ever written and produced. Depending on which side of the relationship, you fall or have been in this and songs like can bring back some very strong emotions. Love & Happiness, Joy, Pain, Sunshine & Rain…

  • Man..you'll never hear tracks like this again! Sing that s--t, Eddie and Walter!

  • Real music from people who could actually sing! Oh so good to hear!

  • @mschante1979 Wasn't born in hat era but grew up listening to this kind of music I'm 28 and still enjoy it......so true real music from people who could sing!!!

  • old school is just plain wow!!!!!1

  • i like

  • Nice I love it :) Good real music !!

  • i still have this on 8 track, what i like about the music of this era is, you had to have talent to make it. the o'jays had plenty, this song is pure talent. real instruments, horn sections, keyboards, bass, drums, guitars. and powerful voices.

  • @teamsterification do you still have the 8 track player?

  • @teamsterification now the question is,,,do you still have the 8 track player...that's would be serious old school in a good way

  • It is songs like these that you can always relate to. They hgave true meanings.

  • My favorite O'Jays song.... Thanks for sharing

  • Grown folk music

  • Grown folk music...they don't make it like this anymore!

  • This is the greatest group of all time and Eddie hasn't lost a step.

  • Damn this was my cut for sure....thanks for sharing...

  • God, I love these guys! I can't properly express my respect, admiration & appreciation for the way the O'jays have shared their musical "gifts" with the rest of the world for over 5 decades now. So much beautiful, truly enjoyable music for such a long period of time; I thank God for Eddie Levert, Walter Williams, and all the various O'jays who have contributed their talents to making this group one of the greatest in the history of R&B/POP/SOUL.

  • @aliquippawill , So well put, I love the O'jays real music, One of God's greatest gift is to bring happiness to another, The O'jay's even when things are bad can make me smile

  • just simply old school if the o'jays can't put you in the mood than nobody can enough said holler
