the new laptop is thin, but it has no ethernet port, strictly wi-fi, and you can not change the battery, no spare for those long flights...

It has a usb port. If you need it get an rj45 network usb dongle. The Air has the fewest possible ports.

In my book, it doesn't have enough parts to be a fully functional computer. You shouldn't have to carry a pocket full of accessories. The non-removeable battery is scary, and from what I've seen it doesn't even have an optical drive. Gads!
