Get any tips for a new player/painter? I've only ordered my first few models, and I'm pretty excited to start painting, although, I have NO idea what most of the painting techniques/jargon is. xD Thanks.
I'd need to see the final result with a good cam. From just the video, it wasn't any noticeably better than just using green once, black once, and highlight once.
That is an awesome technique. Unfortunately, the quality of the video hides most of the color. As far as I can tell, you could have achieved the same effect with fewer shades of green. I would have at least added the base green, washed with light green and then the dark green, and finished with the final highlight.
Yeh, I will definatly try and improve the quality next time. I have a holiday coming up so I should hopefully be making a new video then (if you have any suggestions or requests gimme a shout)

how do you know if you got it if your using gray primer?
elronman 1 year ago
I have a similar way of doing it, but instead I just use super thinned paints. It takes a while but the results are amazing

nice! but it would have been even better with a basecoat color ^^

@Premonitor The green is the basecoat colour. I think you mean primer, in which case I used a grey primer. Cheers for the comment :)
