  • Steady I Really Like This Video Vacation Special How do Magicians levitate women?

  • This video went viral on Zimbabwe

  • How many Physics Scientists today are actually writing a book? How many are actually coming up with their own Formula's and Theories in that Book?

  • @darthisaiah

Luck maybe for few but for many its hard work that got them there.

  • @A4001n ...yea i guess lol

  • 45:27

  • So now MIT knows where form is U wave? Rychnowski 150 years ago understand it better. The heart produce too small pressure to pomp blood through capillaries. So capillaries make pressure by electric potential.

U can make pressure applying electric potential to solution and vice versa. It's Rychnowski pressure-electric effect - the most covered up one in history of science. BTW that's how atmosphere and gravity works.

  • since there is no friction the induced current produce a lenz repelling magnetic field that acording to newtons third laws is equal and opposite. thats way the magnet wobble in the superconductor. it constantainly induces a current and electric field but where the magnetic fields repels each other with an equal an opposite force.

  • if there where no electric current induced by the magnet into the superconductor there would be no lenz repulsion and the magnet wouldnt float. electric currents and fields are not the products of eddy currents since eddy currents is made up to explain drag or friction with a magnet moving on a aluminum surface. random Volt amp differentials oscillations.

  • of course there can be an electric field in a superconductor as long as there is no change in it. take a static field and cool it down toward zero degrees and it would remain indefinitely as long as there is no water vapor or heat present.

  • voltage is only the change in electric resistance between a differential in electric resistance of two substances with unequal amounts of electric dipoles fields. when you observe voltage you dont observe a formation of a dipole field you observe a change in it. you observe tiny bit of energy.

  • when you have more electric dipoles on one side than it is on the other we say the one with most electric dipoles is negativly charged and the one with fewer electric dipoles has a positive charge. when we allow those dipoles from the one with most electric dipoles to move, we call them polarized ionized whatever.

  • the electric dipole is there whatever its produces obsevable changes or not. the electric dipoles have no observable energy in the natural exhange of virtual photon flux. ony when you have a change between dipoles you can observe energy.

  • if the rotation emit frequencies that is at the same wave lenght as your monitor the object look frozen. you can only observe motion when there is a difference in frequencey between the transmitter and receiver somthing like that. so you can have to bodies at rest and think one is in motion because it would look like that if the frequencey reflecting off one object is shifted into the light spectrum. observed motion is relative to the change in frequencey of light.

  • billion years to design it, GIVE ME A BREAK,

  • @darrenmoanguitar we weren't here, until up about 6 millions years agoo

  • Xe-xe.

Walter Lewin is wizard Gaddalf with nicely groomed hair and beard:)

  • @Coffeevaccine ... and funny stuff in his shirt pocket ...

i wonder if he says "you shall no pass" in every exam

  • 34:30 special chalk or is he REALLY good at drawing dotted lines

  • Is the website from the professor still up?

  • The kids in that class are some of the luckest people on the planet.

  • @darthisaiah the KIDS in that class have some of the LUCKEST PERENTS ON THIS PLANET;;)

  • @darthisaiah not luck, hard work.

  • 45:00 the eddy current will die and you will have heat dissipation

  • why does he say DEGREES kelvin??

  • Because he's talking about kelvindegrees and not fahrenheitdegrees or celciusdegrees?

  • there is no such thing as degrees kelvin as much as i know.

  • Well kelvin is the SI unit for temperature, what else than a 'degree' would you call the frequency between the values of kelvin?

  • You don't need to believe me. Read the article on wikipedia about Kelvin. The article says,

"Unlike the degree Fahrenheit and degree Celsius, the kelvin is not referred to as a "degree", nor is it typeset with a degree symbol; that is, it is written K and not °K."

  • it is a "degree" but according to the SI convention, we don't say "degree kelvin", rather, just "kelvin".

  • kelvin is a type of measurement where 0 is at absolute 0, so there is no negative. Absolute 0 is the lowest temperature possible in the universe it's so cold atoms have no motion whatsoever.

  • No, that's a common mistake, 0 absolute doesn't imply that the atoms have no motion, instead it means they are at the lowest energetic level possible. Try to inform yourself before commenting.

  • kelvin is the universal unit

  • It is a common mistake many people do... He shouldn't say degrees kelvin, just kelvin, but it really doesn't make any difference... The important thing is not misleading any physical concept.

  • @tigernov6 Because that is a measure of degrees. Take some Chem man.

  • The strong force in the nucleus of an atom is strange indeed. How is it possible for protons with a plus charge to be strongly attracted to each other? Logic indicates the protons should repel each other. Even stranger, how are neutrons with no charge strongly attracted to each other and to protons? Does science have any explanation for this? Is it possible ther are no electrons?

  • Overall very good lecture. He fumbles a bit with the physiology of the heart. E.g. top to bottom depolarization only occurs in the atria. If it occurred in the ventricles, blood would be forced downward - not good.

Also, the right and left arms are swapped on the EKG which is why everything looks inverted. No big deal...I did the same thing a couple weeks ago in physiology.

Funny thing is..he gets some of the physiology wrong and my physiology professor gets some of the physics wrong.

  • Why can't stuff like this be on TV?

  • Couldn't the field have been much stronger if he had used more windings? Theoretically, you don't need very many miliamps to create a powerful field if you have very many turns of wire, and as a result also more voltage (because of the resistance in that wire).

  • Photon, your passion goes unappreciated...lol...

MIT next spring, Belgium's the place to be

M.T. Keshe will be demonstrating his stuff!

  • What? How? Why?

  • Great lecture, thanks for posting.

  • love the levi-puw!!!!

  • What happened to the plans to make the maglev train mentioned at 41:40?

It's 2009 now, but the train was supposed to have been built by the end of 2007.

  • I'll tell you what happened....George Bush happened.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Obama is working on having a high-speed train built from D.C. to somewhere...I'm not sure if it's Baltimore or not. I wouldn't be surprised if it utilized the meglev concept.

  • At a time when Stirling engines are running generators. When Vibrations, air turbines, solar modules, can generate while-moving motion in mag-drive wheels: this sort of degenerate, desperately expensive old "high-tech" shit must be dispensed with! We have a WORLD TO SAVE with Fuel-Less self-sustaining transport! Time to stream OUT OF PROFS CLASS & GET INTO INTERNET RESEARCH & building your OWN INDEPENDANT PROJECT! USE that Tuition for GREATER PURPOSE!

  • hendershot fueless motor replication

  • Yeah - theEnergyDream channel is good too. VIBRATIONAL electronic output generation turns out to be the key element. Each magnet moves only 1/2" to produce an amazing 1 amp at 56v! How to get them vibrating reliably? I am using frontal Air Turbines mounted on shocks tied to vibrating sheets. The beauty is with back-wind you need less power - which you get: with front-wind more - which you also get! Self-propeled fuel-less/battery-less transport is finally on the way!

  • Thanks Lecturer :)

  • whats with the change in vocal chord vibrations frequency..??

  • When you levitated that coil, have you tried to put another sheet of thick aluminum on top of it. I bet it will double the weight that it can handle.

  • this guys smart

  • Flip: You MAY be right! Do it! The Prof here puts on "Bells & Whistles" - in this case "scien. meas.", WHICH USE OUTSIDE ENERGY, a la conv. "electronics". Excuse has been "Oh, so LITTLE" (lesser of two evils). Must drop the BS & translate energy pouring upon us DIRECTLY to transport & living functions. Tested first Transport Air Turbine last night: 2amps; totally automatic with NO ELECTRONICS (only two end bearings). Looks something like "radiator", but PRODUCES energy, instead of TAKING!

  • watch the last lecture series(8.01 - mechanics), you probably want something about the 2nd law of thermodynamics...

  • What is important is that prof levin is conveying the true concepts of electricity and magnetism to us (or at least I anyway) in a way that I can understand through his demonstrations instead of just equations on a board. You can see the equations come to life in his antics and humor. I very much appreciate that. Thank you MIT.

  • no one said that they couldn't put in a bedini circuit to make it do that.

  • It's an entry level class on elecricity and magnetism. Guess what, he is reinforcing the concepts of ELECTRICITY and MAGNETISM...

  • He's Dutch you idiot.

  • That was aimed at PhotonDrive's comment below.

  • PD...

    fuck off.

    and ... dah, he's DUTCH!

    you stupid bastard!

  • No oil?? Ok well use ceramic races with titanium ball bearings then.

  • wow

  • How did they upload a video of 50 min?

    Haxors

  • it was uploaded before there was a limit

  • nothing to do with a limit. MIT has a special contract with Youtube. This video was uploaded earlier this year.

  • oh well all i know is there used to not be a limit to how long a video was, but i didnt look at the date for this one so yea ur right.

  • Somehow, he looks like the Einstein version of Clint Eastwood. Hehehehehe

  • "Einstein version of Clint Eastwood"

    word is bond!

    Big Proof J Dilla forever!

  • Great video... I'd like to have classes with him... but im from brazil ¬¬...

  • so move to the states lol
