el Guerrouj le gano a bekele a pero bekele siempre tomo la punta y el guerrouj siempre va atras de el me parece que kenenisa es mejor corredor que el y ademas el posee el récord del mundo y eso demuestra todo aunque el guerrouj tambien fue un magnifico corredor claro despues de haile y kenenisa.

@bestofMD I do not agree with that....Even for Bekele improving the WR time is really really hard. In addition, Bekele is a 10000 meter runner. In addition, Bekele is unstoppable right NOW (when he is not injured)..lol.!!!

@Perivei lol so u say he was injured on 2003 and 2004 and btw if he was injured how he won the 10000m olympics in 2004 and btw he el Guerrouj is unstoppable and king of middle distance and see bekele and hicham trying to break 3000m WR hicham get better time then bekele and on 2000m for bekele and hicham see the times hicham get better and because of hicham most of the runners got better timeing in 1500m and 1 mile and when he join any race other runners race for 2nd

And yes, Bekele hasn't been beaten in the 5000 and 10000 for about several years now. Too bad, El G is not around anymore, to get his booty kicked..lol. @bestofMD el guerrouj had the 1500m speed unlike Bekele but Bekele had the 10,000m edurance when el Guerrouj. i dont think el Guerouj would be able to break the WR, because he is MIDDLE DISTANCE king, and 5000m is not Middle Distance

yes, Bekele can beat el g on a 5000m and he had done so before. But the pace must be fast and hard. But if it came down to a kick, then surely el g would kick his ass

In these same championships, Bekele led through the opening 2 kilometers in 5:06 (2:31.8 for the first, 2:34.x for the 2nd); that didn't prevent El G from taking second ahead of Bekele. Bekele hasn't beaten El G at 5000m.

Gebrselassie... so smooth and strong. This was one of Gebrselassie's strongest years on the track despite the trouble he had with injury in the early 2000's... but in 03' he came back really strong. His new fitness level provided an incredible setup for Ethiopia as a team because it meant Gebrselassie could draw out the pace and dominate the race early on.. indicating a sweep such as this one. Gebrselassie really turned on the fire and took one for the team here. What a great show. Grats Bekele.

Hichame beat Bekele in 2004. There is no way he would have beat him in 2008. Bekele injected a totally different strategy. No mistakes in 2008 at the Beijing olympics.
