the front brakes on my bike are totally out of place. one of them is solid against the rim and the other is very far from the rim. no matter how much i play with the adjustments, nothibng changes. im about to toss my bike off a cliff.
This is a helpful video, however can you re edit it so the writing isn't over the work you are doing. Trying to see between the letters gave me a headache. Thanks
Find the make and model of your brake and search for the tech document on-line or ask for it at your LBS. It will contain directions on installation and adjustment.
@maravalhassilva well on my disk brakes, there is a little red knobby thing that you turn towards the rotor. i dont need any tools, just my fingers to adjust the brakes.
question... I have a late 90's early 2000 diamondback outlook with a threaded 1'' fork tube. is it possible to install a 1 1/8'' threadless dube rock shox or fox shock? and what is involved if it can be done?
some of the brakes have the spring tensoiner screw above or below the pivot bolt of the brake. This makes it tension the spring differently
also the brake pivots on the frame or forks can corrode and stick the brake. They would need cleaned and greased. Same with the cable. The brake noodle, the silver pipe at the brake arm can get damaged too. Might need replacing if it is
If the spring tension feels sufficient with the cable disconnect, the problem is likely in your cable/housing system. If the spring tension's inadequate, then you need to replace the spring.
Loved this vid, quick and to the point! I think i can do it now! thanks bunches

There isn't a single video on youtube that explains how to do the same shit in a disk brake.
There are like 99999 videos explaining how to do that to a V-BRAKE but no one says how to do that in a disk brake

One of my springs is tightened all the way, but the pad still doesn't pull away from the rim after I brake. What should I do?
