this phone actually has amazing audio quality. i remember it so well, the interface was clunky and sometimes more troublesome than useful (the update with kinetic scrolling didn't do the phone's already limited performance ANY real good) but my god, put on some tunes with some good quality headphones and it was audio...bliss. the only thing I've listened to that ever gave this thing a run was the Creative Zen X-fi mp3 player. NO phone and certainly no ipod i've ever used has come close.

i have had this phone for about 2 years now if oyu listen to music the battery will empty pretty quick but if oyu dont use it it can last up to 1-2 weeks the touch screen is not so responsive i use my nails to text or it can be rather difficult I accidentally broke the side plastic but its still okay here is for another 2 years

..but the still after 3 years the stereo speakers one of the best in the world, lcd screen is not bad, battery is great but the video card freezes on cold temperatures and touch screen scratches even if you don't have keys or anything sharp on the same pocket.. So this phone has no use in cold places

That guy pressed too hard everything. That's why nothing worked on him ..it's not bad phone but the plastic parts are pretty weak. I had to use tape and all so that the back case would keep closed and the stylus pen always drops out and now my phone broke itself and Nokia doesn't want to repair it if I don't pay 240€ So I wouldn't recommend this to anybody if they don't sell it less than 80€ :/

@newandinteresting Let me tell you the importance of software upgrade. most of the 5800s come with factory firmware which is v10.0.10, this firmware was made back in 2008 which is self explanatory so it drains battery due to non existent memory optimization on this primitive FW. The latest firmware atm is v52.0.7 followed by 14 other MAJOR firmware updates, Nokia has done everything they can to improve customers satisfaction with every update. Do consider that, and go learn some business.

Plus it comes with factory firmware which is as basic as Windows 3.1 compared to the latest one. Don't blame the environment for your incompetence.

No actually, it lasted 2 days if I didn't use it at all.

One day sending a couple of sms and answering a couple of calls, girlfriends phone is the same and has the same battery life, disabled wireless scanning and bluetooth.

Basic as windows 3.1? 3.1 Is DOS and you're comparing it to a relatively new phone with far superior software, it may be basic since it's a phone but you cant compare it to that.

Btw I've heard better speaker quality on a number of phones

what i like : quality of the screen and size of it. with opera mini it´s a good phone for the internet.

what i dont like:

camera- only 3.2 mp speed, could be faster, also the touch on the screen could be faster. you have to pay if you want to have an pdf reader

very hard to get gmail on it, at least for me... not many actually usefull aplications..at least for free.

so..in general it´s an ok phone, but u may get the feeling u have payed too much for it.
