I am an instructor at UNB & i think you guys did a brilliant job. I will screen a part of this in my next class so that if some of my students are unaware of this, then they will know.
@d8ald I was actually waiting outside (to the right of the door) for my class while they were filming that scene. There were like 40 of us out there completely confused as to what was going on. The shot you see, actually, was so fluent because my prof accidentally opened the door at the exact right time lol
Great job ! I've been shooting film and video (all formats) professionally for the past 35 years and I love the work and effort you guys put into this production.
Disregard comments by 'want to be' videographers ! It's easy for anyone to say you could've shot this with a RED, at 4K, and use a professional steady cam and track system and have a crew of grips with a lighting director, equipped with a 53 feet trailer full of HMI's and all... Fact is, you did it with what you had available to you.
@switen we didn't have access to a professional one, so we had a home-made one built for ourselves as a quick solution. The footage looks much more stable than holding the camera handheld.
@Geekstra thanks for your concern. we did in fact use an HD camera, but the HD version is sitting over on the UNB account for now. the HD setting we used wasn't very effective either. 1080p at 24fps made faces blur during high-motion scenes. it would've been better for 720p 60fps to be recording but we did not realize it at the time till we reviewed the footage later on a screen. with regards to after-effects, it was color-correction and soft focus that was employed.
I wish I could've gone to UNBF instead :(

Looks like a lot of work went into this. I don't understand the premise or the point.

@retrograde8 The point of this video is to show how great people are in UNB, and how amazing of a school UNB is.

Some hints for next time... use an HD camera... It's too blurry. Too much after-effect too, makes everything even harder to see.
