This video goes to show that some 'critics' know absolutely NOTHING about theatre. 'There isn't an audience for this', 'it has so many problems' 'it can't work'. proven wrong time and time again. They should be sacked from their jobs, anybody else who knows nothing about their profession would be.

Wicked is totally mediocre.....really?  there's nothing to be said about Wicked?......explain then...mr. Lahr why is this show in it's SEVENTH year! making OVER ONE MILLION dollars per week! these stupid critics wouldn't know a hit if it bit them in the ass!

@dao506 There is a song called "Down, Down, Down"; it's about this guy who grew up wanting to be a big Broadway star, but ever since he was little casting directors have told him no. So he has made it his vendetta, as a theatre critic, to destroy the reputation of everyone who performs on Broadway. Might explain why other critics are so mean; they're just jealous that THEY can't hold a high F for 30 seconds and look stunning in emerald green skin.

There is nothing "mediocre" about Wicked. The audience is the only critic that matters, and Wicked is still running.

@supertaquito94 Wicked is many things. But calling Wicked "mediocre" is like calling The Producers (the 2001 Broadway musical, not either of the movies) a substandard show.
