Thank you immensely for posting this video. It's beautiful, and makes me think about how so many people just lost their lives only hours after being at that summit. You're incredibly lucky and I envy your journey to the top of the world, but not as much as I admire you.
did any one on your team die or get HAPE i am only 12 and i realy want to try to summit everest please respond oh and i have 1 more thing to say did you ever try to summit everest befor and are you going to try to summit everest again plzz respond
@1brittanydog I think this was his first summit and as far as Im aware he hasnt summited since. Anselm is currently on an expedition to Kanjenchunga and will most likely not be able to reply to your comment until he returns in a few months :)
If I go to Everest with my group, will I see other people? Or is it too big? Do you go whenever you want to? Do you have to sign forms or something? I am just curious
@brentallen26 you hope u get lucky that it wont b bad and arnt 2 close 2 the top so u can get downi heard of som one who broke her leg just beneath the deah zone but was able to get down
"Mountains are not Stadiums where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, they are the cathedrals where I practice my religion...I go to them as humans go to worship. From their lofty summits I view my past, dream of the future and, with an unusual acuity, am allowed to experience the present moment...my vision cleared, my strength renewed. In the mountains I celebrate creation. On each journey I am reborn." -Anatoli Boukreev-
An extreme congratulations on reaching the top of the world ! Its somewhere i hope to stand one day aswell, and good luck on your kangechunga trip. Do you recieve alot of sponsorships to do these climbs ? Im just curious as to how normal people like myself could go about funding a trip to everest ? Thanks for your time, Nathan.
im 13 and i want to do this. GOD i know its hard but to accomplish this! i give helmets off to anyone who has done it! congratz, and i hope soon i can get up there
@IIXxAeroWxXII Yes, they are attached to fixed ropes that are placed there each season. It is highly unlikely that a fall would result in the fixed rope becoming un-anchored. I think you are thinking about a different technique where the climbers are tied directly to each other. Google "The Belay" for an amazing story about such an incident.
@rochaeduardo1 about 1-2 month, depends on your expedition, preporations etc. If you are acclimatized from climbing another 8000M peak I bet you can do it in a week or less.
AMAZING FKN VIDEO!! "maniga3004" you watch too much discovery channel kid... if you dont know shit about climbing you might as well stay quiet.. even with the help of 20 sherpas and a little map to the summit i bet you wont even make it to camp one.. have some respect for those that have done something that youll never do...
Sorry, but you are an idiot, you don't know anything about me.
First of all, I'm not a kid anymore.
Second, I am a climber.
But no, I don't have respect for those people. They should climb mountains, they can reach without the help of others or supplemental oxygen. I bet I would make it to camp 1, but I would not try it because I'm not good enough to climb this mountain by fair means. And thats all what counts for me. I know what I can do, and that's what I do.
Amazing video, in HD makes it the most spectacular video I have seen in Youtube. Thank you so much for posting it. If you have more videos like this please post it more.
mpizun, the video is still great, you are talking about the style of how the mountain is climbed, you may not agree on it, but what we both can agree on is that they reached the summit and this is a very good video of a "typical" Everest climb to the summit, on "Summit Day".

It is on the south summit, 8750m. It is looking along the summit ridge to the hillary step and the summit further along the ridge above it.

I think the quality of the vid is great.
But mpizun, you are right!
This has nothing to do with climbing. Without Sherpas none of the people in the vid would stand on top of everest.
