haha the outline thing is very interesting, with NaNo I've been outlining off an on as I go--if I can't think of what to do, I sketch out a few scenes and then see where that takes me. I try not to make them too restrictive, though. Just some thoughts :)
I have done that kind of thing... if you count notes written on scraps of paper to save for/consider later :D I'll think of something to do with the situation I've dropped myself in; hopefully it won't take too long, though :|
