@wizard101magic2 something along the lines of, "i used to think deal or no deal was a lot of money but this is like 4 times that". I know that doesn't make him dumb but he's still a dumb shit for saying it like that lol.
@The666thBowelOfHell I think we may have misunderstood one another. I originally interpreted you post as having been intentionally funny on your part. Furthermore I actually really did find it hilarious.
I like these comment which americans are qqing for nothing .... they want to be every where... we laugh at ya'all! QQ somewhere else little crying BIATCHEZZZ
This woman was already a millionaire even before going on the show. It was obvious she was going to know the answer to a question about royalty. In fact, she is a relative of Camilla Parker Bowles - now Duchess of Cornwall. Talk about making the rich richer. They should have given less well off but brainy people a chance to win £1 million on the show, not people already very wealthy and related to a member of the Royal Family.
@cupcakefairy87 it's a competition not a charity handout in a communist country. Of course the brainiest person should win. (although she is posh, she isn't a bad person)
@thefinder808 You clearly need to learn a thing or two about your economy, and how much stronger the pound is to the dollar. A few years ago you could get just over $2 for £1. Now you do the maths...
@whydidthetilda its more dificult for americans to know things about the royal family like it would be dificult for a brit to know things about us presidents.
@IceaSmith Actually I think it'd be easier for brits to answer a question about us presidents than the royal family from almost 900 years ago. For instance, in my history class we did more about us history than british history as this year we did the 1920s to the 1940s in the us and last year we did the cold war. Yeah if someone asked me about presidents from the 1800s I probably wouldn't know, but I would still have a better idea than if someone asked me about the royal family 1000 years ago.
@blablabla313313 Though one of the US winners doesn't really count owing to them winning a tournament that guaranteed $1,000,000 by a previous winner answering only 1 question correctly.
@HodmoxTheCritic Oh, I thought It was 12 not including him. I know what your talking about. Some women was dumb in her question so he won the million. So 11, whatever
This is so much harder than the USA version! I know that $1 million is worth less, but "Which Scientist discovered that human sight is images projected onto the retina?" Out of Galileo, Copernicus, Kepler, and Newton. How stupid do you have to be to get that wrong???
The funny thing about that was? The same night she won a million.........they showed the last episode of one foot in the grave on BBC1................coincidence?
@alexistheman102657 I'm 19, and I've never even heard of Eleanor of Aquitaine until now. But I knew the million pound question for the other 2 winners, plus the fraud winner. It's mostly down to luck, and what you learn/hear as you go through life, not about how easy the question is: in my case, I've never learned much about the middle ages apart from the Norman invasion and the Crusades. Any question is easy if you know the answer, and I know that sounds stupidly simple, but it's true.
@ShiivaWilding Wow, you enter a conversation that has nothing to do with you to(wrongly) correct a typo? Well done, you must feel like you've accomplished something today. If you know what it means then it obviously still works doesn't it, find something better to do than be all high and mighty about spelling. And anyway, both are so widely used that generally both are acceptable, it's not as if it's in the dictionary, if you want to be picky.
a good prank would be getting your friend into one of these games, who will have no chance at winning but having the people say correct to every answer. then when he think's he won a million tell him :)
America, everybody defends it against other people with ignorant remarks but when it comes down to it... nobody here cares about our country. Nobody realizes what it means to be American anymore...
It is probably just as well there is no tax on TV quiz appearances in the UK. I appeared on BBC's Mastermind and received the princely sum of GBP50 and a commemorative ball-point pen. As it cost me GBP200 in new clothes and books I can honestly say that I went on a TV quiz and made a loss.
@RomeijnLand no she was the first because Millionaire was a UK show which the US copied, just like Deal of No Deal, Price is Right, Are You Smarter Than a 12 Year Old?... Pretty much copy everything we make
@Jbcartman You're not making any sense. John Carpenter won his million on November 19, 1999. Keppel won her million pounds on November 20, 2000.
