GIFT needs a larger boost. More corporate companies need to understand that this is where the future is headed: Ecopolises. I do hope they finish construction soon and show the world what India can do. Although I hope they don't allow those three-wheeled rattlers anywhere near GIFT.
Yeah ... you're right, this project doesn't seem to be going on actively. I am Gujarati, and I know that noone in Gujarat Govt is talking about it at present.
Had its first phase going to be completed in 2010 as this video shows, the govt would have marketed this like anything by now, but they're quiet.
Nevertheless, it will be one of the finest places of India when gets completed, will be quite symbolic for India.

Like if Muncipal worker dont come regular for pickup garbage call to Muncipal Corp. without fail(atleast we can do that)

Sky scrapers are the easy part and they come in 3rd phase. 2nd phase is development of the roads and prepping the land. You're very negative.
