i hope that they make a smaller one. one closer to the size of the average paperback.
this QUE is what an ereader should be. no damn buttons other than the home button that up in the corner.
i'm amazed that most ereaders don't already look like this yet. most of them have buttons everywhere. when i read a book or a magazine i don't see any damn buttons.
and i would love to see someone one-up apple by making something just as elegant as the iPAD minus the weight. and with color e-ink? = P----
Color is nice, battery life is more important. Can't do PDFs on Nook, and Kindle lists PDFs as experimental. THIS is the PDF device!
First time I used an e-reader, my intuitive response was to touch the screen to operate it. I can hardly wait for this device. My only complaint is that it appears to be slow. I hope they fix that. I might have to wait for rev 2.
lol 700usd for what's fundamentally a Picture Frame with E-Reader capability, wait a few months the Chinese will have clones of this thing available at a lot less cost. Infact why bother, there will be 'slates' out in due course that will have the same functionality, even the HP 'Tablet \ Slate' running Win7 will be able to present text to the viewer, waay too expensive for what it is.
There seems to be a good deal of glare from the screen on this one. Wht do they keep pushing for a touch-screen - it takes away the whole idea of eink. I'd rather have an wacom powered device...
I would wait for the Apple announcement on January 27th. I just lost my Kindle DX 2, and have no desire to replace it after seeing what is coming! This is a nice device, but too highly priced for a non-colored device.
from what I've seen it looks to be about the best e-reader on the market but the price is just too high for most people... Drop it to $300 and then we can talk.
Just bought an Amazon Kindle, but this device powered with Barnes & Noble could result in a switch from Kindle to QUE. Guessing this will be a North America only device in the beginning, February will not be an option for me since I live in Norway :(

Nice device. I would buy one if the price is below $500 and I can extend the memory with SD card.

do you have to pay a subscription charge monthly or have a sim card etc and pay monthly to use it?

It doesnt need colours, this is an ebook and not to be compared to reading on a monitor.
But I would NEVER buy an ebook reader with touch only, fingerprints on the screen Im supposed to read my books? NO thanks :)

@fixingbraincell it has something like E-Ink display, so you see it like normal paper,
another technology.
