  • Gouramis and tetras or just tiger barbs they they have to be with there own kind barbs go with barbs if you mix they will end up killing other fish like say red eye tetras never mix if you want a semi agresive tank go with barbs if not we'll go with if easy fish that are laidback dorf rainbow fish gouramis tetras plicos chines cleaning fish moss balls they clean your water just give you them good a mount of light they will be ok german blue rams pladys

  • dwarf cichlids!!! should go really well with tetras!! Maybe angels, rams, apistogrammas,or..... a red tail shark would be awesome with some leopard corys on the bottom, and definitely a bristlenose... but yeah awesome videos and i'm looking foward to seeing the final product!!! :)

  • @MiscelaneousMadness Thanks for the suggestions. I reckon I will get a couple of rams down the track at some stage. Looking into Dwarf Chain loaches. If I can get them brought in. :)

  • How about some molly's? Those have babies all the time. You may even be able to find a pregnant female :) Sword Tails are awesome too and easy to keep.

  • @newyorksteelo I reckon I will get a new tank for live-bearers. Go down that road sometime in the future, Cheers :)

  • happy holidays! any updates?

  • @GaearGrimsrudd Seasons greetings! I've made an update. It's over due, sorry!

  • should be fine just try to avoid fish with long flowing fins :)

  • no problems they should be ok in a school :)

  • @JoshsMbuna Yep, and they seem to do better with fish the same size or larger. Or so I have read.

  • serpae tetra can do a bit of fin nipping dont know weather you know or not?

  • @JoshsMbuna Thanks for your comment. Did a bit of research into the aggression aspect of keeping Serpaes. I'll keep a close eye on them when I bring them home. Cheers!

  • love vidds can you show us around your tank and landscape thnaks =]

  • @Ogrodii Thanks so much. I'll make a plant unboxing video soon, and a tour of the tanks as soon as my Internet speeds up. It's been shaped this month :( Only for a few more day now.

  • I would go a school of Serpae Tetras or Harlequin Rasboras, maybe as much as 15 +, bristlenose catfish and maybe a few red cherry shrimp and a few kuhli loaches.

  • @johnno000 I reckon Serpaes are go :)

  • i'd roll with guppies, plecos, 'mysterious snail', and a few shrimp (what momma dont know...)

  • @studentofselassie Haha, I'd love a couple of Darwin Shrimp. But I'm not game enough to risk it for a hefty fine. Quarantine is pretty strict, because I live on an island state.

Might go with guppies some time in the future. We kept them a few years back. Pretty neat fish. Cheers!

  • Group of Congo tetras would be awesome.....Black Skirts are one of my favorites and actually live for awhile.....2 angels would work well for a show fish if you didn't go with the congos. Rummy nose are also cool but can get a little picky about water quality. Bristlenose Plecos should do a good job with algae control though i wouldn't get more then 2...and watch out for aggression between the Plecos they can get feisty especially during feeding. i would definitely stick with corys to scavenge.

  • @jeremiah36100 Angels are pretty cool fish, but I want to keep it small for now. In the future I wan't to get a massive tank for medium sized fish, like angels. But yeah, I reckon the Black Skirts (or White Skirts even) are pretty cool looking fish. I'm loving your Serpaes, they are just crazy cool looking fish. Did a search on the congos, never seen them before. Nice.

Thanks for the advice on the Plecos. I was thinking of getting just one, it will probably be the biggest fish in the tank. Hehe.

  • Cory Catfish is a good idea. I would get some von rio tetras or rummy nosed tetras. They're both really cool looking tetras! I have 7 of the von rios or flame tetras in my 14 gallon and they are great. You should put in at least 8, or do 8 of those then 8 of the rummynosed and a bunch of corys

  • @Braden8558 Hey Braden, I'd like to say; your flame tetras look absolutely fantastic! Very cool fish. I've never seen them at any of my pet stores, but reckon I'll keep an eye out. They are hansom fish.

Getting some rummynose in the the future, but for the other tank.

Your cory cat is a cutey. Thanks for the advice, my friend.

  • @PetaPanPipes No problem! :D

  • @Braden8558 Braden, I've put an order in for some Von Rios. You're pretty fish changed my plan. Thanks :)

  • I really like that tank it looks really nice. I think some cory catfish would be nice maybe some leopard or bronze. I think some kind of tetras would be good in the tank maybe neon or red eye tetras. I think some gouramis would look nice with those 2 types of fish maybe opaline gouramis as these stay higher in the tank and the corys stay lower and the tetras stay in the middle so they tank would look nice and balanced.

  • @FishtanksFTW Thanks mate, I like it too. It's a wee bit messy up close, but all the plants are still really new and small. Hoping once they fill out it will look nicer and more natural looking.

Definitely getting some false julii corys for the other tank. They are sweeties. Might get some panda corys if I can find some reasonably priced ones. Thanks for the comment and subscribing. Love your vids Alex :)
