  • I guess magnetism is a good thing

  • Comment removed

  • The old style MacBook Pro does not use magnetic latches.

  • guess so.

  • This is the old style MacBook Pro.

If it were the unibody model, the sleep indicator light would be on the right side front, not close to center on the front.

  • yeah that one does not have magnetic latches I was wrong. its either the 2006 one or 2007 one.

  • the one in the video is a 2006, or 2007 model.

  • Which makes it an older style MacBook Pro, similar to mine (June 2007; Santa Rosa).

  • im sorry bud that sucks but if its still within the year from your purchase date you can take it back to apple and they'll fix it the same thing happend to my sisters mac book well kind of the magnet broke not the bezel but they should cover it

  • the magnets broke you idiot... this happens if you push sidways the things that pop up... its easy to move them around

  • the screen is probaly warped

  • omg i swear can all of u people stop arguing that apple is shit... yes of course there are macs which dont work but if u compare that to windows computers... all of them are a failure XD

  • MY MAC AINT DO THAT :p

  • Magnetic latches are better.

  • take it to the apple store, they will fix it, had the same problem

  • that happend to my cousing macbook pro

  • im gonna buy one - but not at the moment... i dont need this...maybe in a year... im lucky with my sony, with bluray :D

  • Fucking Apple, my MacBook Pro has ALMOST the same problem....TIP: in future, when you fix it DO NOT EVER CLOSE IT ALL THE WAY DOWN just LOWER the lid all the way down, just milimeter before you hear "click" and you're good.

  • The same thing happened to my computer after an exchange student staying with us tried to open it back too far. The only way to fix it was to get a new display and screen at the cost of $1423.22. Luckily his insurance company should be picking up the tab. Good luck.

  • you can take a pen and pull the smal hooks out. i had the same problem. it's not a big problem. it's easy to fix. If you can't fix it just go to the place where you bought it and I'am know the will fix it for you.

  • umm, maskintape? :D

  • lol idiot

  • no Mac is the shit

  • no. mac IS shit.

  • @demonwx10 You mean Mac's are shit?

  • @lrossi888 Fuck windows.

  • @coffeeandsugar20 Wow, you're cool.

    I bet you're a smart cookie.

  • @lrossi888 Well.

I don't go parading on Windows problem videos saying "Windows sucks. Get a Mac" So I guess that answers that question.

  • @coffeeandsugar20 And I do?

And your comment makes no sense at all. If that's what you consider a come-back, you should avoid confrontations on the Internet, cupcake.

  • @lrossi888

You appear to make those sorts of comments, man

  • @coffeeandsugar20

    1) I don't tell people what to buy.

    2) I didn't say anything about operating systems. That's what Windows and OS X are. I was specifically talking about the machines. That, after all, is what you're paying a +$300-$1000 premium on. Not the operating system.

    3) OS X is just Unix and hasn't seen a major kernel update in ages. So OS X is several regards is shit too. Although it looks pretty. =/

  • @lrossi888 2) A Mac from 2004 will run Leopard just fine w/o flinching. And without upgrading that computer. So in tern, a Mac pays for itself. My HP PC is 3 years old and I needed to put around 280 dollars into it to run 7 fine.

    3) Unix > Win NT

  • @coffeeandsugar20

    2) I've seen Windows 7 run on 10 year old computers without a problem. Don't know what you're talking about.

2 A) Lol, a Mac from 2004. Pretty much only Macs from 2010 are fine, but I don't know a single Apple machine pre-2010 that didn't need a RAM upgrade. Also consider that you can run Unix on a toaster.

    3) Sometimes, yes. But Windows has been around the block and saying that Unix is better is just sheer ignorance.

  • @lrossi888 2) Tell that to my HP Pavilion running Windows 7 AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.3Ghz, 4GB RAM, 2600XT and 320/1TB hard drive.

2)And tell that to my moms HP touchsmart.

    3) Right...

  • @coffeeandsugar20 Don't take my word for it, look it up. I don't have to spoon feed you.

Those are pretty decent specs on that HP. Is that after you modified it?

    2) I don't know what you mean by your mothers' Touchsmart. I hope you know that most HP's are pretty crappy, even though my HP Pavilion ZE2000 was a good computer, and my Dad's Compaq is still chugging after 6 years. He's never had a crash, error, anything.

  • @lrossi888 watch?v=hvaPuKc6Kpc

  • @lrossi888 obvious troll is obvious.

    now gtfo

  • you have it half right... he DID buy a PC, its just an apple design (i used to be able to say its not a x86 clone but jobs changed that shit.)

  • go to an apple store and see an "genius" there

  • no applecare unfortunately... and narrowly within the 1 year warranty, but this was really something I did myself, when the computer fell on the ground from a low height.

arrgh frustrated... moving to another country in two weeks, and don't want to live without my computer for over a month, while it gets repaired by apple, sent back and then re-sent to my new residence...

  • @helpmemacbookpro what do you mean under "low height",

  • if you're still under the 1 year warranty then report your problem.... if you have the apple care plan... then much better, you're ok... you just have to report your problem... then they're going to fix it....

  • i have the same problem
