I WATCHED THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO A BUDDY OF MINE. ITS WICKED. PULLED A GRAVEL BUCKET FOR 7 YRS. IVE BEEN IN SITUATIONS THAT MADE MY ASS BITE THE SEAT BUT I MANAGED TO KEEP IT ON ITS TIRES.
flipping over an enddump is as common as a flat tire. If the ground is uneven or soft it takes very little to turn one over.I have pulled them and been lucky enough not to turn one over.
It taks a lot less weight than you might think to make it turn over. If the dirt at the front clumps up on one side and does not slide out, it gets off balance and can easily turn over. Its not always because the driver did something foolish.
the dump bed goes up in the air and the load comes out hte rear, and if you arent level enough the trailer can tip over. im sure it's way more dangerous of a job that you have. i've been in one as it went over (not this vid) and it scared me to death.
thats what i do every day day averaging about 9 loads a day and fuck yes its dangerous, ive seen some crazy shit happen in the last year with tipped over trucks
Very easily. Something as simple as a pothole can turn you over. If you park a flatbed trailer at a more than a forty five degree angle to the truck you can actually rock the 10,000lb plus trailer with one hand.
Ill drive a beat to hell TRI or Quadaxle dump truck b4 setting foot in a tractor trailer dump , I have seen these damn things roll over with one side on a dog turd , Damn trailer manufactures are the blame 35-40ft dump wagons . Thats a long damn way in the air
Poor ol rig. What became of the driver? My pops had an 87 DM triaxle tip over on him back round 98 or 99. He had to bring in an environmental contractor to clean up the fuel spills which cost lots of $. They brought in a helicopter with people ready to amputate the legs of the driver just so they could get him out of the truck. They ended up usin the jaws of life.
Great video. I'd sure hate to be the owner of that truck. Cab turned over first...not good. Truck bed looks beat up. I can't understand HOW a truck can tip over sideways delivering dirt! That's not a dump truck? Don't they dump from the back? weird.
No I wasn't there when it happened - but my guys called me right away and I went down there as soon as I could to check it out. Reminded me of the crane that tipped over on my the Eckerd building I built 10 yrs ago.
Tee hee.

Wow is that a Gorve crane? Im suprised that they didn't use an 850 to lift a truck that size.
Jayc2400 4 years ago
he didnt have to pick it up he just had to side load it so his capacity was well within his chart.

Cool, Cool,
One flipped over on its side near my house, closed the main road for hours... How in the hell do you flip an 18 wheeler?
ibuy4unow 4 years ago
Because if you have a trailer on the back that you are pulling if you use a sharp turn the trailer will truen over along with your truck.

i think its because the dirt doesnt wanna come out till its like all the way up they should make the trailers with a pitched floor.
